I thought this was good justification for balance issues! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

I'm not, I'm not , I'm not!
I actually have this saying on a t-shirt, and it's been a big hit every time I wear it to the neuro's office!
That said, I started my day by spilling 20 ounces of hot coffee down my stomach, all over the counter, down the lower cabinets, and onto the floor. I got that cleaned up and promptly tripped over the dog's cable.
Hi hairbrain4 🙂
Last night, I fell backwards w/walker & all. Boy does my hip hurt today. One of the joys of having MS…NOT!
I still can't walk after last month's fall so I won't make it to tap dance rehearsal tonight.😅
I'm not going to make it to rehearsal either. I found two holes to fall in up to my knee yesterday & today. I haven't fallen in 2 years, so to make up for it I fell two days in a row!
Wednesday night I got up to pee, stood still for a second to make sure my feet would be okay and next thing I know I am on the floor. I fell over backwards and hit my back and head. Amazing that I wasn't bruised. I have to watch now, just in case the floor hates me! haha!
I didn't fall. I was just testing to see if gravity still works. It does. 😊
I know all to well. I have fallen 2x in the past 2 days...both times from stepping in a hole upto my knee.
Very cute and fitting! I am constantly bouncing of walls, door jams etc bruising the forearms in weird ways.. neighbors are going to start giving my hubby the hairy eyeball thinking he is roughing me up 😆
That's not even funny. After 2 trips to the ER in 6 months the nurses were giving my husband the evil eye! People don't realize that we can fall anytime any place & any where without rhyme or reason. But now we have proof from the cow 🤣
Exactly! The crazy thing is I worked in healthcare most of my adult life except for the last few years and at one point I had to have oral surgery, and I had swelling and bruising in my jaw. One of the doctors that I worked with who also knew my husband, and worked with him as well, but he was dead serious when he saw me that he, for some reason thought my husband was responsible for that bruise and swelling on my jaw . I didn’t even know what he was talking about. I had to assure him that I was good and it was just post surgical swelling.. it kind of made me feel good that he was looking out after me, but it also made me feel bad that he thought my husband would do that to me. I guess nobody is exempt from that sort of thing, and we all have to look out for each other..
I had a new job and a large puppy (lab/chow/Rottweiler). I've always bruised easily. I don't know if it's an MS thing or not. To comfort himself, he'd fall asleep with my arm in his mouth. He was the gentlest soul, but big dog + delicate skin = bruising. I had a terrible time convincing the guys I worked with that someone wasn't beating me up, but yes, it was nice that they cared.
This is kinda along my line. Will say to family & friends, those who know I have MS. When I forget sometimes the simplest things or they may say told you that. My response, I have brain damage...
I have had two total knee replacements, one in July and one in December. My husband had one knee meniscus repair in January.
We have decided there must be a hit out on us and our “pets” have taken the contract!
Late January our Great Dane puppy (120 lbs) jumped onto the bed and landed on my husband’s knee. He yelled which caused her to jump off but she launched off of his knee, leaving a nail puncture in his skin.
Two weeks later I got up to get a glass of water during the night and one of our cats did some kind of slinky ninja move between my feet. It knocked me down, hitting the wood floor with both knees and my head slamming into the cabinet. I couldn’t do anything but cry for a few minutes then scooted over to my cane and slowly inched my way up. This brought on a pseudo relapse and I’m not sure what to expect next…but we’re keeping a close eye on the “pets “!
We have a little dog that will stand behind me & when I turn around I almost trio on him. I really miss my German Sheoherd cuz she used ti help me walk when I needed it. She was never trained but did it instinctively. Maybe you can get your Dane to help you. 🤗
Oh no!! That is rough! my 15-year-old black Australian Shepherd mix with luckily some cookies and cream on him from the blue heeler likes to lay in front of the key hallway Between my bedroom and my bathroom.. if he is laying with his back to me, it is all black and I have no hope of seeing him during the night we had to resort to putting up nightlight right there. I have across him and gone like Superman. In order to hurt him.. I did that a couple of years ago across a king size decorative pillow that my husband missed the chair when he went to toss it off the bed.. sailing across it during the night when I got up to go to the bathroom.. one good thing is he never threw the pillow off the bed ever again. Gotta love those fur babies though.
thank you
You forgot to add "and the mower runs itself into low-hanging branches." I didn't realize I'd nicked myself until my entire forearm was covered in blood and dripping onto my jeans. Since I'm well experienced with this, I had a hanky handy to mop it up while furtively looking around to make sure none of the neighbors were coming on the run.
