thank you! My dr said I should see a phsychologist. I think he’s wrong! MS is something extremely hard to deal with! Especially when you use to go 100 mph now you can only go 5. 10 if you’re. Lucky!

MS is indeed very hard to deal with. I apologize in advance if I misunderstood your post. It sounds like you do not want to see a psychologist. I'm not judging your reaction, but I'm interested in why you wouldn't want help with the huge load of emotional crap that comes with losing things like your job, your independence, and the ability to live your life without pain or feeling beyond exhausted. I don't know if you've had a bad experience with therapy, or if you feel like your doctor seemed to be implying that there was something wrong with you personally? Because that would really suck. Whether your doctor was being a jerk or not, I feel like the right mental health professional can be helpful to anyone who's struggling. I don't think it means that we're crazy or something is wrong with us.

I did take it personally I’m not exactly a people person. I have a hard time talking to them. To me it was like he was saying I’m crazy and he doesn’t understand the hardships of this debilitating disease. I have lost so much already and there's more to come. Yet everyone expects me to b what they consider normal. I was never normal

I'm so sorry things suck so much for you. For what it's worth, I don't think you're crazy. And "normal" is wayyy overrated!

I already do telehealth with a licensed mental health professional. Talking one on one has been very beneficial for me. She helps me to reframe things and I can see things from a different perspective. I’m glad MSAA has such helpful assistance for us. Headed to the podcast right now! Thank you, Dana!
