Calling All Artists!

Each year, MSAA celebrates the work of artists affected by MS with the MSAA Art Showcase.

I know that we have quite a few talented artists in this Community, and I wanted to let everyone know that MSAA is now accepting submissions for our 2020 Art Showcase! We will accept submissions through December 16, 2019.

New for the 2020 Showcase - MSAA will be combining the previous showcases (the MS Ability Art Showcase and Four Seasons Art Showcase) into a single Art Showcase. Participants are able to submit up to five (5) pieces of artwork. In addition, MSAA will now be accepting digital artwork and photography for the Art Showcase

Eligibility for the MSAA Art Showcase:

* To submit artwork, you must have a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

* Participants must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry and must be a legal resident of the United States.

* Eligible submissions include: paintings, drawings, digital artwork, and photography.

Sculpture, pottery, fabric, and other types of three-dimensional artwork cannot be accepted.

All eligible submissions will debut in March of 2020 as a part of our 2020 MSAA Art Showcase.

I wonder why 3-D work, if submitted as a 2-D image won't be accepted?

Thank you for your question, falalalala . You bring up an interesting scenario, however at this time we are not accepting three-dimensional artwork (even if pictured in a two-dimensional image). We'll keep your feedback in mind for the future.

I tried my button art which is Slightly 3D but not much and was rejected. They are rectangular and hang on walls... Was somewhat t-d off and won't try again. To me, art is art and if you're using it to help you cope it should count.

I agree. That is what I do not understand as one does not send the actual piece in,do they??

A high quality photo should be a requirement if they print the images. That, I can understand.

I have seen many beautiful quilts, metal work, wall hangings & stained glass on this site, along with your things and it's a shame they can't be shared as well.

Inspiring stuff, IMO. :)
