HSCT early in MS

This is an interesting story about two women who went to Mexico and got Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation early in their disease. One, who was diagnosed with PPMS, received her transplant in the third year after diagnosis. The other, who was diagnosed with RRMS, got her transplant just twelve months after diagnosis. These women were not seriously disabled by their MS; they just wanted a possible permanent remission in order to regain their physical health before incurring any more nervous system damage.

This made me happy. Those women look so vibrant, fit and happy! I saw something about this years ago. One of the two participants died. Maybe the risks have changed over time.
