has anyone experiencing TN have it go away without meds? I’ve had a bout with TN about 3-4 times the last 4 years. Calrbamazepine always took care of, sometimes after 3-4 weeks of taking them.
recently I’ve been hit with TN. Again The C drug works but hinders walking. Some days it appears gone but returns. Previously it’s been months to a year before it hits again.

I've had TN for five years. The first ordeal was controlled with Carbamazepine . After 6 months pain free my Neurologist gradually weaned me off of it and I was fine for a couple years. TN pain returned summer of 2022. I'm back on carbamazepine every day , but lowered my dosage to 200mg just once a day, and at my recent Dr. appt I'm going to reduce in half again. So far so good. Fortunately, I do not experience any side effects. I have trouble walking but at age 70 and PPMS, mobility problems predate TN and keep getting worse. Carbamazepine may make it worse, who knows for sure. I tried gabapentin for a short while. It helped but did not eliminate the pain. Those are the only things I've tried.
Good luck. I hope you quickly find lasting relief.
me too, constant bouts, experiencing yet another one right now, i use gabapentin, the drug you use made me vomit... but yes it is exhausting & depressing, my drug regimen does seem to work eventually but it keeps coming back. wish you a speedy recovery (i know speedy is unlikely but as soon as possible wishing you better).
