A very good day yesterday myself! I've moved onto kesimpta, and this week was the "no-inject week" after the 3 loading doses. Yesterday evening, myself and my husband went to a friend's shop to play DandD. The friend was a bit nervous for me, because the lift (elevator) was out, and so we had to use the stairs to get up 3 levels to his store. I took my stick, rather than my wheelchair, and did it 2 times! The first was to get up there, back down to open the main door because someone had kicked the block of work keeping it open and so it shut without a means of opening from the outside, back up to play, and then back down after we'd finished that night! I even managed to show off a bit outside at the end, at my husband's car waiting for my best friend's husband to bring his car around. Unfortunately, there is a barrier bar that only opens from the car park going out, so no coming in after a certain time. Me and hubby had to drive up, activate the barrier sensor, before reversing back to allow best friend's husband to get in with his car and pick her up. She could have got in the car with us, but because she had her baby in a carrier and her husband's car the only one where it could be clipped into, we did our work around.
You don't necessarily "win," it's more like playing out a story and each time we meet and play, it's a bit like a chapter in a book. My character acted quickly to help other characters out of the water when there was harmful, large fish swimming in circles around them. Tied rope to an arrow, and shot it to just to the side of the characters so they could grab it and my character and another could pull them out. Playing D&D really helps with my memory and how quickly I can react in circumstances, so I'm happy my husband had introduced me to it when we first met.
If you do go and play it, make sure you're friends with the people. Have a good dungeon master (the term used for the lead person who does attack rolls for the enemies and such), because you know they'll help you set your character up, have empty character sheets in case your character "dies," and enjoys seeing people make notes on stuff because they may want you to remember, or remind the group of, what you, as the collective group, have found out about or where you are. Happy RPing! 😁
I always get a GOOD rest during infusions. So much so that my insurance is offering for me to receive infusions at home and I’m kinda hesitant to accept it because where i go the nurses cover me with blankets from the warmer and offer me snacks and pillows and once the infusion gets going i lay my chair back and sleep a full 6 hours. (Minus 2 or so bathroom trips.) SO nice
