Today I had a covid jab, and a 3rd day of builders putting a ramp outside my (back) door - 2 more days of that. Today there was lots of noise - hammering, cutting paving slabs, f-words. I'm frazzled.
Stressful day: Today I had a covid jab... - My MSAA Community
Stressful day
Are the builders putting in a ramp made of concrete/slabs? My ramp is a "lego" one. It's only installed at the front door, but they put it in in one day! Even the steps and hand bars took a day! What lazy, crude b-word your builders are ๐คฌ
But soon you'll be unfrazzled, find it easier to get in and out, and recovered from stress. And that will be wonderful!
I could do without their taste in music too.
I'm not sure what the ramp is made of, I was surprised by a big truck delivering ramps/handrails/etc - I'll update when it's done. They don't seem to be lazy, except with their vocabulary! And in their accents (Geordie (=Newcastle) (I think - or is one of them a Brummie?(Birmingham, and not the one in Alabama)) it comes out as "fooking" which is amusing rather than offensive. They haven't sworn at me, only when talking to each other when they don't know I can hear.
At least I don't seem to have had any bad reaction to the covid jab. (knocks on head)
Soon you will have peace and be Better protected.. I got my vaccine last week ๐
The ramp is in - it's metal sheet with holes in.
I'm still grieving the loss of my garden, which adds to the stress. It got totally overgrown while I was in hospital and there's no way I can ever get it back, after all the work I put into it. The carers keep trying to jolly me along by talking about planting flowers in pots or going into town for a coffee - I wish they wouldn't - I don't drink coffee, and pretty flowers in pots just sound so superficial compared to how I feel about what's happened to my life.
I've had 3 years - how much longer?
The ramp is finished and the builders have tidied up and gone.
Unfortunately it's so wet and windy I don't feel like trying it out.
