I use it because post Ocrevus my hair thins. I take one daily my hair gets better and my nails are rock hard. Haven’t tried without to see if it’s the cure or is it just time.

I’ve been taking a B-complex for years because without, my b-12 levels are low. It also helps keep my hair from thinning and my nails are strong. I haven’t noticed it having any affect on my MS symptoms though. The formula I take has more Biotin than the recommended amount but isn’t the super high dose that people claiming an affect on M.S. symptoms seem to take.

Good morning! Yes I take it religiously I would like to think it helps. I get up and go to work every day and I think if I didn't take it, I wouldn't be able to tolerate my brain fog!!

It is in my multivitamin in a pretty big dose. Has had no impact on my MS symptoms. I know the clinical trial looking at high dose Biotin showed no difference. I was really hoping the study was going to show it helped!

I used to take biotin but it got everything else our of balance & made my joints hurt more so I quit taking it. Sometimes we think we are doing stuff to help but it actually makes things worse.

It can affect your thyroid labs too which made me reluctant to take it.

Yes it can & to counteract it you need to take other supplements etc & you are right back where you started only you are taking a dozen extra pills! So I've found that unless in actually deficient in a mineral or vitamin I don't take extra. If you are losing hair or have problems with your BB ails you can drink gelatin. It comes in little packets you mix up in a glass ofc water. Also eating more protein helps.

Leslie, I've taken biotin for decades. I started taking it when I was pen hooking throughbred weanlings and noticed what a difference it made in their health and their overall appearance. After I started taking it for a couple of months, I noticed how much stronger my hair was and how much faster it grew. How my skin took on a radiance it lacked before. My nails grew faster and stronger. And even my teeth seem to less prone to cavities and stronger. As far as my MS, I really haven't noticed a big difference but why not take the rest of the benefits from biotin and bask in them? Fancy59.

I'm taking biotin because it makes my hair and nails grow faster and stronger. (note that it makes every hair on your body growth faster and stronger).

I've stopped 4 weeks ago (i've just not refilled it, I keep forgetting about it). I have not seen any change in MS, but my nails have started to break.
