The picture is of my rescue cat, Alice, or Ali Cat. She is my very first cat. I rescued her as a kitten in July 2022, at only three months old. She is a tuxedo cat, who looks exactly like Jersey Dairy Cow. She has the "anti-cat" attitude very much, too. LOL π π½π

Hi πDM0329!You have a beautiful π», but I'm partial when it comes to cats- all my cats where rescues. The cat I have now is sitting on my lap as I'm typing..she's 16yrs going through her 2nd childhood π.
She is adorable, DM0329 ! I have a tuxedo cat as well, and a black cat πββ¬. I adopted them eight years ago. They have brought me so much happiness.
YES! Boy, you have a great memory. Alice, aka Ali Cat, was the last of her litter, both of her sisters were adopted first, she was the runt of the litter.
As a new crazy cat lady, I suspected it was perhaps she didn't have traditional feline features. Both of of her sisters were light grey with stripes.
But, I think I won the lottery. She is adorable. Yes, I still would love to recue another cat. September is "Adopt A Cat Month" and my local recue is only too close to home. Cats are available, but kittens are less expensive and "trainable" in a way?
Did you get your two cats together? Is it hard to socialize them together if I would get another one? The woman who gave me Alice, Ali Cat, said that she had seven cats at home. I thought OMG! LOL
We got ours about a year apart. I can't say as kittens are more trainable. Maybe?
One of the funniest tricks they do is to act like they can't hear you πππ They .both like to fetch though and also like to be brushed and tolerate nail clipping-that would be the advantage of getting a kitten,IMO.
We kept the 2nd kitten in a room with the essentials and let them smell each other under the door for a week or so.It helped with acceptance.
She's simply gorgeous! I used to have a barn full of cats when I worked the farm. I mìss working the farm and having my cats around. I had one cat that buddy-ed up with a thoroughbred 3 year old stallion. I'd go out to the colt's paddock and find the two of them sleeping together! Go figure.....Fancy59.
She looks like she's got a bit of an attitude on her! She looks so beautiful, and I love how she's got her front paws crossed β€οΈGrowing up I had a tortoiseshell and white, called Sasha (or Slash as her nickname from mum) and also a completely white kitten mum rescued, when the previous owner's son was "giving her a wash" by holding her in a bath of water π± the son has mental problems, but we rescued her! Sasha looked after her like an older sister, and we called the cat Doris because mum likes to name our pets "old people's" names (like the dog we had called Bert, or the rabbit called Neil π€£)... my d!ckhead ex-stepdad got mum to sell the cats on before she gave birth to my brother, but I remember waking up one morning to Sasha kneading my head and purring as she did so, and I really miss her π even the cat from next door a few years ago would come in, after husband had gone to work, and sleep on me! I called her Minnie (as in Minnie the Moocher) but the owners next door had called her Chloe. Minnie really loved me, so much so that when I was crying on my bed one day, she'd came and curled up on my chest, purring away! I miss her too π
oh such a cutie ....love how she is crossing her paws ...great attitude and she will remind you if you forget ...right ...so cute ....love the eyes..so adorable ...enjoy this fur baby ....love and happiness...they keep us going and can help push us when we want to put things off....enjoy life...love her...
Ali is beautiful, and she knows it! I am so glad that the 2 of you found each other. I think I remember you mentioning that you might adopt another cat/kitten?? If I'm right, my advice would be Yes...go ahead, while she is still young. Not necessarily a very young kitten, but at a little over a year old, Ali is still a kitten herself. From what I can tell of her attitude, I would guess that she thinks she is human, and the daughter (princess) of the house! Does she play like a kitten? Or does she prefer to sit in your lap and be petted? Anyway,I think it might be a good idea to get her a kitty friend. I currently have 9..I know...WAY too many, but I volunteer at the Humane Society and we never have enough homes for our rescues. So, I can Not let someone small and furry and alone live in a cage in a room with maybe 2 or 3 other cats in the same circumstances, until someone who is approved to Foster has an opening. I also take the ones classified as unadoptable, usually because they are too old, not as pretty, whatever, but that is another story. Sorry to be so long winded and wordy.. Linda
Ali Cat is my first rescue and cat for that matter. From what I've read, at age 12 months+, they are officially a cat. I have the safe haven that I rescued her from last summer, right by my house.
June is Adopt A Cat month. I got Alice (Ali Cat) as a kitten at three months old as she was neutered and had her first round of shots. I think I'll take Ali Cat back with me and see what "three month" kitten would like to come home with us? Since I'm on a fixed income, and if I let the kitten and Ali choose in a way, it may be an easier transition.
OMG: NINE CATS? FUNNY BECAUSE WHEN I WAS AT THE RESCUE WHEN I GOT HER; I SAID I WANT ANOTHER ONE; AND THEY SAID WAIT AT LEAST A YEAR. THEN THE OTHER LADY THERE SAID SHE HAD SEVEN CATS TOO! LOL π ππ½
