Busy week ahead

next week is my yearly session with an MS research study. 4 hours of tests, cognitive, mri, walking and balance, etc... then the neuro said he might as well see me then as I'll be at the hospital. So this will be one more round of neuro-related discussion and tests.

They told me it was my 5th year anniversary. I can't believe it's been so long since diagnosis. This has consumed my everyday thoughts but the reality is that I'm much better than before DX and treatment. With no relapse in 5 years, I feel that the ms monster is somewhat tamed. Pbs are there but they've not gone worse except when I get exposed to heat.

Then the next day I have to go under to get a wisdom tooth removal.

Then I have to plan the next infusion and go through the insurance approval again because my company switches plans on Aug 1st... and hope this will go smoothly as it's already been 8 months since the last one.

just ranting... thank you for reading or not.

just reporting on last week busy days:

- MS research session went well - MRI, blood draw, cognitive test, eye nerve check, neuro exam. The neuro exam was with the one who did it 3 years ago. I reported that I had food drop after 30 min of walking and some numbness in left hand and was pleasantly surprised when he said "you already reported this in 2021." So, it's not worsening.

- then, in the same day, I saw my neuro and he already had the MRI results. No change, all stable. Yeah!

- the next day I had the blood test results. T-cell and B-cell have not bounced back enough to schedule Ocrevus. It's been 8 months. Need to wait another 2. I know, in the research, they study customizing the Ocrevus treatment for each patient (weight,...). I'm probably a good test subject for them.

- the next day, I also got 2 teeth extraction. I feared this but I was fully sedated and it went like a charm. No pain the next day.

One more procedure next week: a biopsy of the thyroid. This is the good news about MRI, they discover everything odd about you. So here we go with having to check the thyroid.
