I never felt this symptom before my MS diagnosis, but the last few times I felt so nauseated I vomited (I hope you're not reading this at mealtime!), I felt this nasty, painful tingling throughout my trunk area. It never happens at any other time. Any ideas about what could be happening to cause this? I'm never fond of nausea/vomiting, but this brings a new dread of it!
I hope everyone is doing as well as possible.

Might want to have your doctor check you for an ear infection. Sometimes those can mess with your sense of balance and give you a sensation similar to motion sickness. I get bad ear infections, especially when it's been really muggy. Those infections have given me that symptoms before. Just a thought.
My neurologist "fired" me because I don't seem to be progressing with new lesions (!), and she doesn't see any need for more MRIs at this point (!), so I'll speak with my primary NP about it when next I see her.
Find a different neurologist who will at least keep tabs on your MS once a year by doing an MRI to check for any active or new leisions. We all know MS can be a monster when left totally unsupervised. Don't allow any neurologist to kick you out the door and say you don't need his/her assistance any further. That's bullbeans!
Ah, Fancy59, easy advice to give but impossible to follow for some of us. My neuro also dismissed me, but locating another is a logistical impossibility for me.
Even when I was "stable" on Ocrevus... meaning no new lesions and no worsening of symptoms my neuro wanted to do an MRI every 3 years. I think yearly in someone who is stable and not newly diagnosed is a bit much. If you are not on a DMT maybe your GP can order one every few years for you. Symptoms sound kind of like MS hug that is just affecting a different muscle group? Does it happen more if your body is little warmer, such as warmer weather or after more activity?
I couldn’t tell you what it is but please let your medical professional know as soon as possible, greaterexp , so that you can get to the bottom of the cause. In the meantime, keep smiling.
pls check with doctor....woman have odd heart sympotms or none at all. 115 lbs..didnt know i had already had a heart attack years earlier. ended quad bypass and a year later the vein they used the vein which was scarred..stents year later. ok scarry.... check it out.Previous symptoms all chaulked up to MS.... ears is a big one and a medicine with vitamins...throwing up hmmmmtrunk issues..check heart...bp? oxygen? triglycerides and cholestral
I completely agree with you regarding "hidden" symptoms. I've been told, in my short time of studying nursing, women don't present with the same symptoms as men. Like, heart attacks? Men get the ol' pain in the chest vibe. Women? We're a whole different kettle of fish because women's symptoms are not properly recognised 🤦♀️😡 heart.org/en/health-topics/...
hi. I do not know what this could be. I agree that you should talk to your dr. In the meantime: a cold wet wash rag on the back of your neck will also take away the nausea I hope you feel better soon
I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this. I have vertigo sometimes, but usually more nausea than actual vomiting, but always with the dizziness. I agree with everybody else, please check with your Dr., and I hope you feel better soon.🙏🤗
The nausea was related the first time to a mild gastroenteritis, and this last time it accompanied a migraine-ish headache. It's just the weird, painful, tingling sensation in mainly my abdomen that I have never experienced before when vomiting. I'm grateful I rarely vomit!
I am so sorry. I have been experiencing some issues with nausea and can relate to your frustration. My back pain gets so bad that I get nauseous that I vomit. My doctor gave me a prescription for the nausea and it makes all the difference! Yay. I’m hoping you can find some relief 🥲.
Hope you are able to get some relief soon. Did you start a new med? or take a med(s) without eating something first? As others suggested, check with dr. p.s. Good luck finding a new Neuro since yours fired you
The swing set does me in every time too! I've always had motion sickness.
For me the first 3 years after diagnosis it completely went away! It was awesome, I could text and read in the car! Go on a boat and not get sick! Then after a suspected relapse, worsening of symptoms, it suddenly it came back😥
Get to your primary care and have them run simple blood test. That will rule out a lot of different things quickly. You could look for things like simple constipation, kidney stones, uti's, Gastroentitis, pancreatitis, Allergic reactions, and and a host of other fun things but don't let it go on. Please see your doctor ASAP. Fancy59.
call your doctor for sure ...ask lots of questions ...be careful...nothing is not checking it out for it doesn't just happen for no reason...love and prayers to get to the bottom of this ...
sorry you’re feeling funny/badly! Sounds like a doctors visit would be in order. I didn’t know ms doctors would stop seeing someone with ms. Seems like we are guaranteed money in the bank for them!
I had similar symptoms a few days ago, they did a urine test and I had a urinary infection, high glucose and I was taking a multivitamin (which was never indicated to me) but it generated a shock with the medication I take (zeposia).
