considering trying a FES like the Bioness unit for foot drop. Downside is high cost and I have heard they don’t loike rain or even humidity. NMES units are cheap but do they work? Any experience with this?

Someone posted about the Cionic neural sleeve a couple weeks ago. I looked into it and got a prescription from my neurologist but haven't ordered yet. Once I get it and try it out I will post about it. You can search for previous posts about these as I know there have been a few.

I have used the Bioness L300 go since 2020. It has been really helpful as I hated my afo. Also, don’t have to wear shoes if I don’t want to. There is a learning curve. Since it uses an accelerometer to activate you may need to alter how you take your first step but once you get going it is very reliable. I will add that I use a walker so I don’t know if someone’s experience is different walking without support or just a cane. It is expensive but they offered a 2 year, interest free payment plan through Care Credit. If you are interested you can always just set up a consultation to try it out to see if you like it.
