Bladder InterStim Device

Does anyone have an implanted InterStim device for bladder control? If so, how do you like it? What problems are you experiencing? Do you wish you would not have had it implanted? Any information with your experience will be appreciated.

Ooh, I did not know there was such a thing. It sounds like you are considering getting a InterStim device. Wouldn't it be great not to HURRY (I can't run) to the bathroom? gulfstream40, I didn't mean to ignore you, but even after researching it, I don't really have a clue what your going through. I chose a different round for flatter control and recently got my 1st injection of Botox. I hope someone on the forum can help you with your questions but unfortunately I cannot. Thinking of you and wishing you well. Fancy59.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. My friend as one fitted and I asked her if she would mind if I passed her comments on. She has had 2 fitted. The first one lasted 2.5 years then her current one after nearly 4 years is on the blink. She said they now have a newer version of it so hopefully the new one will last longer. She said the major draw back is that she can only have a head MRI but apparently this new one may allow you to have a full MRI. They have changed what it is made of. She said the device has been ok, she has had some issues with it as the rods have got dislodged and so didn’t work effectively but once it was seen to it was ok. Reading back I don’t know if what I have written is of any help but let us know how you get on. Blessings Jimeka 😊
