Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah

I enjoyed a wonderful party last night. It was a Hanukkah/Christmas party. There were about 40 people attending. The hosts are Jewish and he lit a Menorah and said a prayer in Hebrew. It was very moving. Some of the guests were from their synagogue, some from AA. Today I went to another Christmas party where Santa arrived! I’m going to help at a homeless shelter tomorrow, then playing games in the evening with some very good friends. This is a special time of year. I wish we could carry the love of the season each day throughout the year, giving for no reason. I don’t mean material gifts, just gifts of the heart. My wish for each of you to enjoy the day. I feel very fortunate. I have so many lovely friends here. I have been here 2 years and I have made such good friends. How are you and what are your Christmas Day plans?

I don't celebrate Christmas being Jewish but i gave my husband a few gifts.
