The huge benefit of working in Santa Fe, NM, I had, was the ability of borrowing one of the cameras we sold, and carefully walking down the street to grab a shot of the world-famous Loretto Chapel in snow.
Loretto Chapel is known for the beautiful , mysterious spiral stairway.
So a very merry Christmas to everyone here!

This year, I've been sweating my bootie off up until last week. Temps finally dropped. But yes, NM gets snow. We're considered "High desert". Much of the state is a mile high in altitude. My home town, Albuquerque, actually beats Denver by 300 feet, which makes it the highest metropolitan city in the continental US. And Santa Fe is 7300 feet above sea level being essentially the foot hills of the Sangre de Christo mountains--the southern tail of the Rocky Mountains. NM is more like Colorado than Arizona, though the southern end of the state is more of the typical desert landscape. We are just dependant on Arizona not hogging all the moisture coming from California, or Texas needs to let go a little of that wet stuff coming up from the Gulf of Mexico. Anyway, it has already snowed 3 times, so far this year, and I'm loving it! 😀😀😀
