Sorry to hear that. I used to get bronchitis everytime I caught a cold, but not so much anymore. About 6 years ago I got so fed up with coughing from the bronchitis that I literally threw a fit. I screamed & yelled & said "I never want to have this @$%& again." That fit lasted about 20 minutes & I was so exhausted afterward. But, I've only had it once since then & that was brought on from having Covid last year. I'm not sure if the fit had anything to do with me not getting it again but I have been very careful about keeping my hands clean, especially after being out in public, that is other than when I ended up with Covid last year.

thank you. I have a lot of scar tissue in both lungs, and pouches of inflammation in lungs (pulmonologist said what diverticulous is to the stomach bronchiectasis is to the lungs). I am going to increase my prednisone for 2 weeks. Maybe I will try throwing another fit! I do yell and scream and cry when I get a "new pain" or "new symptom!"

Sometimes yelling is what we need to do to get out that frustration. Keeping silent means it's bottled up & will emerge somewhere else as another ailment!

As a kid, I used to get bronchitis, and/or worse a lot. Antibiotics were the go to drug to knock it out. Knocked me out a week at a time. Half dozen times a year? For many years, often in hospitals. It slowed with age. Then by the time I moved to just north of the border to work south of it everyday, I found I could buy the same antibiotic used as a kid, same manufacturer, without a script in Mexico, and really, really cheap. So, if I got so much as a sniffle, I broke every rule and abused my gut and never got it again!?!???

That was pre-M.S. by years. Well then, with M.S., on Interferon DMT's, not even a sniffle could get me, even with wife and kids sneezing in my face with their flues, colds, whatever virus...I was invincible! And was for 25+ years! That, and I couldn't think of getting sick running 2 high pressure companies concurrently on a tight budget. Stress? Yeah, mine was off the charts, for nearly all of those 25+ years. Did that contribute to M.S.???

Remember. Don't ever stop fighting. You can knock it down! Manage it more than working through the relapse after relapse after relapse. Relapse free now for 6+ years!

I definitely believe stress affects MS - and our entire bodies. I had my first bout with MS when I was 17, but was not diagnosed until I was 66. I think I have said before, for all those years I was diagnosed with many "ailments" and given medications for those various comorbidities. Not until one doctor dx me with Burning Tongue Syndrome, then I moved, and the next doctor wanted to know what caused it, and ordered a contrast brain MRI. THEN, the neurologist said I had been coping with MS since the temporary blindness at 17. I have always preferred a healthy diet and lifestyle, and supplements, which probably helped the MS stay at a relapsing-remitting stage. When I was prescribed DMTs, I was allergic to everyone I was given. One of them actually caused pneumonia for 6 weeks, no antibiotics would knock it; only stopping the DMT did the pneumonia go away. Yes, I listen to my body much closer nowadays, and major problem now is lack of REM sleep, and poor quality of sleep. I am still a warrior, by God's strength and grace,

For what it's worth, regarding diet, I tried to follow the guidance of the Whal's Protocol, which was at least a big part, eating healthy, and avoiding processed foods. I've since heard studies that support much of that diet, like the fact that in undeveloped areas of the world, of which there is little, people living there, do not have auto-immune diseases. And, they don't have toothbrushes, and don't have cavities. The Whal's protocol is basically feeding your body what it needs, and avoiding what may be damaging it.

I went from very sick for a long time, towards recovery, by immediate feedback. Maybe this was a gut reset? I would get up everyday, and start out good. If I ate anything, even just an egg, I quickly slipped into heavy cognitive fog, so bad I could not read, or even watch TV. But if I held off from eating, I didn't get the brain fog. So, for a long time I kept from eating till dinner, when I then slipped into that fog, but went to bed, so it didn't matter. But eating one meal a day, couldn't be healthy, so I decided to try juicing fruits and veggies I picked up at the produce market, as seconds. It worked, I could drink the juice and not slip into the fog. But, if I did not juice, and tried eating anything again, back I went into the "fog". How much easier than instant feedback. So I did, transitioning to blender mixed fruits an veggies to get pulp, as well as juice. From there, all this over course of +/- 3 years, I was able to do mostly fruits and veggies in normal form, with very small amounts of lean meats.....but never ever processed foods.

And yes, when I got off all my scripts, I felt better than ever. Drugs while they may help this or that, and may be necessary, they are man made chemicals, which we were not designed to take. Not everyone can tolerate such chemicals. Likewise, processed foods are un-natural chemicals added. Same thing?

Slowly, with your doctors' monitoring. Maybe something similar. Refer to the Whal's Protocol, Managing my Mitochondria, .... and the like books, from your library or other.

MarkUpnorth thanks for the info. Yes, I agree with you regarding the Wahls diet and it helped for several years. Absolutely no preservatives or chemicals or packaged foods, lived on organic veggies and fruits and no dairy, etc. It was great for awhile, but somewhere along the days and years, I had severe stomach issues, and diagnosed with gastritis and duodenitis. Now, even fresh organic protein drinks cause severe stomach pain. I just nibble on whatever sounds good at the time, but still all organic, etc. The medicine prescribed for those diagnoses caused increased RLS! I agree medicine is chemicals, but I finally got the consent of my mind to take my med for bi-polar chemical imbalance in brain. (Been a life long problem.) I also take organic herbal supplements.

No, I don’t, agapepilgrim . Is there anything that you can do to get better? What does your doctor suggest? Please get well ❤️‍🩹

Doctors give me medicine but most of it disagrees with me. Got one med refilled today, and read on the paperwork with it that it causes low sodium! Seems like everything I am prescribed or homeopathic advice or dietary advice causes other problems. Basically, the answer is no, nothing, just rest a lot and dont exert myself . I am blessed, though I can still take care of personal needs.
