Nighttime Urination

Does anyione have a good suggestion for a supplement to help me sleep through the night without having to urinate at 5:00 A.M.? I have been using a supplement from Botanic Ckhoice called Pro Advanced Urinary Formula. This was working well but lately has been less effective. I catheterize just before bedtime and don't drink after late afternoon

I take Oxybutynin. Not a supplement an Rx but it works well and I don’t have any side effects

I was kind of hoping for a supplement because I am already on so many prescriptions.

Hi! I just got Rx for Oxybutynin but haven’t filled it yet. Glancing at the order, mine is just 10mg.

How do you take your 2 doses? 12 hours apart?

i do take it 12 hours apart. 10 mg maybe you can take it once a day but if it doesn't work for you try 5mg twice a day. A urologist who was unfamiliar with MS gave me 10mg but my neuro said 5mg twice was better for ms. See what your experience is. would like to hear how it goes.

I take it as well but only in the AM. I tried to add it at night but my mouth got bone dry from it so I figured getting up anywhere from 1 to 4 times/night was better than needing a drink all the time. (Which makes me pee more.)

the dry mouth didn't last too long for me. Only a few days. And I try to drink a lot of water (3 bottles/day) because i was told when you get enough water you're not dehydrated. All i can say is I don't have incontinence anymore.

I couldn't get rid of the dry mouth. Glad you were able to.

I find I get up more during the night if I have had a flavored water, I think it's the artificial sweetener? or the carbonation?

I'm trying to give up sweeteners so it's very noticeable when I do have one in the evening.

I just bought some electrolyte drops as I talked to someone who said that helped her not waking to pee during the night. Will let you know if it helps.

Have you tried using Valerian Root at night? It's meant to help you go to sleep & stay asleep.
