Annually.

Yearly for the first 5 years but I've started to lengthen the time in between as there's been no changes the past few years.

Once every year 😞.

i think it depends on how you are doing ..i like to get them for they are keeping eye on how i am doing on the medicine i happen to be on and that it is working to slow down MS ...have a great day and may you have love and happiness ...laughter and smiles...

Mine have been every 6 months, just because the MS has been a bit too active lately. My last one showed no change, so if the next one is the same we'll go to yearly.

Started out every six months for 5 years or so and then yearly for next 15 years. Now it’s 2-3 years. Just had one done three weeks ago and stable 👍🏼😉🙏

I’m due for one next month too. I’ve been doing them yearly, but my dr said if there’s no change, I can do every other year.

it depends on the neuro for me, but i will say only the one who hadn't a clue about ms and ms adjacent illnesses (he told me people don't have pain with ms.🙄 clueless, he also told me vitamins would 'heal' my ataxia. mmmmkay). the others took mri's a minimum of once a year and sometimes more if i had new symptoms. for whatever reason, i tend to develop 2 symptoms at once. yay, me.

no pain with MS? WTH? My first neuro told me that and I quickly fired him and found a new doctor. UGH. what ignorance!

the sad bit is i was so desperate i kept seeing him. my mum kept saying, 'he's a quack. a fraud. no!' 🤣 it wasn't until the 'healing ataxia with vitamins' that i said, nope.

I've had a total of 5 MRIs and I'm hoping not to have any more of them. The neuro would like to have MRIs not just of the brain but of the spine as well. if I'm not getting noticeably very much worse or developing any sudden changes, I see no need for more MRIs, and the neuro is OK with that.

Once a year, mostly to determine if I need more Lemtrada (which is a two-time treatment series of infusions in a one-year period) for RRMS. My lesions have remained dormant.

When I was first being looked at for MS it was every 6 months for about 2 years. Then it went to every year. Neuro said that unless something new develops there isn't a need to do them more often than annually.

I'm sure it depends on your doctor and if they are still watching your progression. When I was newly diagnosed I had one every six months. Now I have one once a year.

When I was first diagnosed, I was getting MRIs every 6 months. After about 3 years or so, I was getting them annually. Today, I am getting them every other year. My neurologist has told me that if I get an 'attack', that they would order one immediately. My 'ms' is progressing very slowly, so I am comfortable with getting MRIs every other year. I hope that this reply helps, FindingAnswersMaccy :-D

Hi, my MRIs are yearly now (diagnosed 6.5 years). The first 4 years I was with a different Dr. who did them every 6 months.

I usually get it once a year, one of the brain, one of the cervical spine, haven't had any since the pandemic. Hope to have one sometime later this ŷear.

Every 6 months. Must depend on your symptoms, your diagnosis. your neurologist.

I was curious about how frequently I should be getting an MRI. I was diagnosed 8 years ago and after my initial diagnosis MRI, I’ve only had one other. Either I need to start requesting more often or I need to find a new Dr.
