They suggest people who already received, go back and get a 2nd dose (2 more injections) to protect against omicron and it’s sub variants

What are you guys going to do? Iona60 and others

thank you for posting. I'll going to watch for people's posts. I'm interested b/c I'm being evaluated for Evusheld this week. (I'm not sure if I should go forth with it or not? I'll go for the eval and then decide if I want to go ahead and get the shots).

In case you were wondering, no side effects first Evusheld (unlike my horrid reactions to moderna vaccines)

Thanks for the link. I'll try to get an additional dose in before we move on Saturday.

Iona60 Moving? I have more info from my local hospital if needed. Provider has to fax in referral form again.

We are moving to WA to be near our daughter and son-in-law. I was able to get the first dose without a referral at a local urgent care clinic. I'll call them first to make sure that they have it in stock and to see if I need a referral this time. Thanks for the info.

Wow! That’s quite a move. Enjoy being near your daughter 🤗

The referral is probably specific for my location

It is probably specific to your location. Be aware that there’s not enough of this so it’s being rationed. At least here in Connecticut.😞

A gastroenterologist recently told me that I had "omicron".

This diagnosis was made through a telephone/video consultation....

Whatever it was, it felt like any other time I've had a flu or cold with a cough.

As for vaccines, I do not get them.

An acquaintance was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome after getting dosed. That rendered her unable to walk among other things.

The other day my brother in law was diagnosed with either Parkinson's disease or Parkinsonism. They are stlll trying to figure it out.

He and his wife attribute that to the vaccinations/boosters.

My husband read an article about that exact thing the other day.

I simply don't trust them.

Don't know about Evusheld. I had 3 Pfizer and if they tell me more is better, I will be waiting in line. (Even though the shots make me sick,)

I’m in a major metropolitan area and there isn’t near enough of Evusheld to go around. I’m in the top tier of eligibility but haven’t even gotten the first shots.

No one in my area is being referred for it so we have supply 🤷‍♀️

I'm finally set to get Evusheld tomorrow. My MS Specialist ordered it on Feb 15th, but the hospital never called me to schedule it. I tried to call the infusion center myself, but was just going in circles trying to connect with the right department/location, so I called their closest hospital - only to find out that facility doesn't offer it at all and I'd have to try contacting one of the other ones again!

I gave up and ended up calling my PCP on Friday (different hospital network). He placed the order yesterday and I scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

I'm getting the double dose of Evusheld today (2 injections in each gluteus maximus). Since a rheumatology office is administering them, I had to go to their office for an appointment yesterday with one of their docs to first be cleared to receive the medication. I think this is the right way to go. I've had 3 docs now encourage me to get it. Apparently, the antibodies become effective 7 days after the injections (not completely sure this is the right thing to do, I have my fingers crossed)

good! I was told 2 weeks after injections it is effective???

the doc I met with yesterday said that the research she knew of showed a significant impact 7 days after (in terms of reduction in hospitalizations). Sounds like I won't go out in 1 week and rip off my mask in a crowd of people - I'll wait and do that 2 weeks from now - haha
