My legs try ever so hard to keep extension . This makes getting up much harder. I finally decided to do the army crawl to the bathroom door jam. After the dire need to rest my muscles, which I am working on, I finally got back on my feet before I had to use the bathroom unlike yesterday. You sure do have a workout of push-ups and holding yourself up before you collapse again on the floor just as you think you’re doing good and will get on your feet again this time, for sure.
So I never used the door jam before and I think it was a good idea. Of course I also had to use a chair, but I made sure it was sturdy and not going anywhere.
Anyhow, thank God it finally worked. I was back on my feet about two hours later. I did have my phone with me in case I needed it to call the rescue squad again.
Thank you everyone for reading this. I knew this would be a great place to go.

I'm glad you weren't hurt in these latest events. It's constantly amazing how creative we MSers are forced to become to accomplish what we once took for granted.
After falling for the umpteenth time I asked myself who else does this? Falling is really a bugaboo for me. I know it is partially due to a disconcerting loss of balance. Falling does not improve that any and it is not like we "practice" learning how to fall either.
I have very severe balance issues I wish you-all would discuss.
I recently finished a series of different types of brain scans. We have already ascertained the vestibular apparatus is absolutely normal bilaterally (in both ears). I know the cerebellum and the topmost portion of the brain stem actually are the master controllers of the vestibular apparatus of both ears,so then we assume if both areas lack O2 to both then the balance issue becomes greater. My R vestibular artery is not nearly as well preserved as my L. And that is all I know.
After broken ankle and bruised body I am now in a rolling walker. Helps when my legs get tired..(sit on seat).. but alas, my brain will say "you got this".. and I fall again.. so it's the learn to listen to your body.. falling isn't so bad on my carpet, but it's the getting up that is the killer.. haha Feel your pain and mindset to "do it this time", but there is the time when you have to see the reality of "better safe than sorry"...
Good luck on this journey.. Prayers going out to you..
so sorry for a bad fall and having such a time getting back up ...it is so scary to have this happen ..there has been times like this that i thought how the heck am i getting to get up and then i realize i need to relax and then i can get up for i had just pushed myself to much to be able to think correctly on how to get up ...such an easy thing but sometimes the mind just won't work right to work to do it right ...so sorry been there too...take care and hope it gets better ....love and some great happiness....
