Seeing neurologist

Hi everyone.

Finally after months I’m seeing a neurologist on Tuesday. I’m 22 female and had two instances of wetting the bed a few weeks ago. My vision has been very blurry the past few days in the morning. It takes about an hour for things to settle. I have lots of mood issues and severe pressure in my neck and head along with a agony pain in my spine I’ve had for about two years. I also feel extremely disorientated throughout the day and take lots of panic attacks. I had a mri a year ago and it was fine. I’ve always wondered about ms but my doctors all said it was too unlikely. My neurological exam 2 weeks ago was fine, my blood count and urine test was perfect. Hopefully I get some answers!

Make a list of all your symptoms and when they started to bring to the appointment. You don't want to forget to mention something important.

I used to verbally record appointments so I could go back and listen to what the neuro said. It is hard to remember everything talked about. You should always request a copy of the office notes and any tests that are done. Start a file for yourself. Let us know how it goes.

You just gave me an awesome idea! Record my appointments to help me remember what was said! I'm doing that at my next appointment. Thank you🤗

Good! I hope you find it to be as helpful as I have over the years. Now with cell phones it's even easier. Have never had any dr object to it.

here is hoping you get to the bottom of this for it is so stressful to not know ....hope for the good and get all going in the right direction for it is terrible to have this going on and no one not knowing what is going on...blessing and love and some hugs ...smile and laugh at all of it for you are still here with us all...so that is some thing very positive....need this kind of spunk to fight all of this and can still laugh at it for you will win ...right...ahhahaha..good laughs ...

Write down all your symptoms and questions to take with you to your appointment. Write everything down or as another person mentioned record it to help you remember what was said.

Hope you get all the answers you seek.

Not everything is MS. It sounds like you could have spine issues, urology issues or a multitude of other issues. If your MRI comes back normal again I would ask your nuerologist to recommend a spinal specialist to evaluate your back and how it could be affecting you.I didn't mean to bring you down but these are all possibilities. I hope everything goes well and they can narrow down what your issues are. Be patient and work with your doctor's and good things hopefully things will go your way.

I hope it all goes well. But don't just get brushed off either. Maybe a spinal tap or a better MRI machine. T3 is better than T1.5 or T2 (T is for Tesla)

Best of luck to you. Be sure to write down all your questions before you go so you remember them all.

that's such a good tip. i keep asking my mother questions after her appointments and she can never remember stuff. she also says things like, 'oh no! i meant to ask...' i finally convinced her to write down information.

I learned that after one time when I had just left a doctor's office and realized I'd forgotten something. So I make notes now.

that would've frustrated me so much! especially with their ridiculous wait times just to get in to see them.

i hope it's something at least relatively easy to fix and not ms. having said that, i remember pooping on myself when i was 23. i was completely sober. i remember thinking how abnormal that was and being terrified. good for you for getting checked out!🤗
