Progression in Secondary Progressive MS

Hello,

I have also more weakness in my legs. I was diagnosed with MS in July 1999. At some point maybe 10 years later when I went into secondary progressive and it has been a challenge . I also think the barometric pressure plays a part in it. At least it does for me.

This is not a rodeo any of us signed up for. Hang in there, take one day at a time and pray.

I have found out after many years that barometric pressure plays a big role in my daily life. I have a site loaded to my phone so I can follow the changes with how I feel. The pressure is high today with high humidity and I am sluggish today. Crazy but true 👍🏼🙏😉🤔🐾🐾

Make sure you try to keep your legs strong, so that leg muscles don't atrophy. Stationary bike is good for that purpose.

Thanks for the tip. I have a Pilates machine ( first one in 2000, then 2nd one in 2007). I have always said that that machine has kept me out of a wheelchair. I was blessed enough when I did my Yoga Teacher training that my teacher taught me to teach on a mat, in a chair and a wheelchair. The topper for me was getting my Reiki level one.

that's great! Reiki, yoga, pilates are all good. wishing you the best. I'm not surprised Ken has an app for barometric pressure. there's an app for everything. Barometric pressure and temperature wreak havoc on my system. today is cold and i feel extremely stiff. moreso than usual.

Thanks😊. Between the Pandemic and other deterring nonsense I’m so off my schedule it’s like trying to empty the ocean with a thimble! I’m sure you and a lot can relate! We all just have to hang in.

Some of the exercises can be done in a seated position. If I can give any suggestions ll, I’d be happy to.😊

This is the 4th time I’m trying to reply, hopefully it’ll go through!I think that’s great though even though the weather tries to control what you do you work around that to do what you can. Sometimes Mother Nature needs to be reminded about people like you.😊
