We spent time at our daughters Christmas afternoon with all the kids 22 in all. everyone had a gift to open! & nobody had a melt down!

Our holiday was blessed with my sister and my brother coming from out of town and staying a few days, and my son, his wife and 9 year old daughter spending all day Christmas Day at our house, and we spent all day Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas at their house. Now, all company is gone and I’m exhausted … the house may stay decorated til next Christmas 🤣

Ours was so fun and travel-stress free! We wrapped each item so the girls would have more to open, and V2 thinks the paper is the best part anyway. Gma stayed with us on the Eve, so she made her traditional stollen and V got to help her. I cooked everything I normally do for Eve dinner, and cleaned up afterwards like a normal person for the first time in years (it’s a Christmas Miracle! 🤣). Santa brought V the presents she asked him for, and V2 got a drum set! Lots of cuteness 🥰🥰 Hubs cooked Christmas brunch and it was wonderful. I meant to call some family and still have not 🤦‍♀️

I had a wonderful Christmas! I got to spend a treasured week with my daughter. 🥰 Best Christmas present ever! I had not seen her in 2 years thanks to Covid. She flew back home last night because she has to work New Years Eve but I had a wonderful time with her. We even had a White Christmas this year

She was worried about bringing Covid with her because of where she lives and having to travel through 3 major overcrowded airports. So she took a Covid test after she got here and then we stayed masked up and distanced for a few days until the test results came back negative. It was worth it to see her and I appreciate her precautions. She is fully vaccinated and even had Covid last August but worries about me because I’m immunocompromised.
