I am switching from Tysabri to Ocrevus. For those of you who have switched from Tysabri to another disease modifying therapy, how long did you wait in between?
My neurologist said the “safe period” is 8 weeks but the infusion center can’t fit me in until 10 weeks. Even though it is only a few weeks, I am worried about a resurgence of symptoms if I don’t start Ocrevus within the safe period.
I’d be grateful to hear about your experience and thoughts. Thanks all!

I was on Tesfadera (sp)? And then I was going to go on Ocrevus I was told to get off of it for 8 weeks but I ended being off of it for 10 weeks because of scheduling.i was told that’s how long it takes to have a medicine to be out of your system.
Jmhnath I don't think 2 weeks would be that big of a deal. It may even better than 'safe'. I could see if it was a 2-month delay, then I would really be worried but I don't think I would be too worried about a delay of 2 weeks.

The study included patients infected with JC virus
