Today is Thanksgiving Day in the US. It is a day we all get together with family as long as we are allowed, and just eat ourselves silly.
However, I got a crumb of something caught under the top set of my dentures yesterday and it rubbed a blister on my gum and it makes chewing kinda painful. 
So, in a few hours, I'll probably be eating A LOT of mashed potatoes.
Lousy timing.

It’s funny how things seem to happen around the holidays🤨. My hot water heater went out Tuesday morning and fortunately I got someone out that day and they replaced it yesterday. Every year about this time of year I hold my breath that something will stop working in the house. I think I replaced all my appliances during the months of November through January. It’s a running joke that something will happen around the holidays😀. We’ll try to enjoy your holidays.
Mash some carrot with the potato and cover it with gravy, it will go down a treat 😋
oh my so sorry that is the pits ...do you have any jello ...or of course ice cream ....love and you still can enjoy the day knowing how thankful we all are and thinking of you ....love and much happiness...oh do you have any of that stuff for numbing you tooth ache...numsit can't remember what it was called maybe that would help...call some friends to see if they have it ...especially anyone with babies for they have it for numming the gums for the babies that are teething ...good luck...
Thanksgiving is already the day I'm faced with forbidden things, ice cream is one of those, (as is the Margarita I never got). I could maybe make some Jello tomorrow. Oradell is the name of the numbing stuff. I have a little and have been using it. I really, really need to get into my dentist. I haven't seen him in over 2 years. My gums have shrunk so my dentures no longer fit snuggly thus the blister.
i know the feeling of loose dentures ...i use sea bond to help take up the gap ..i just have to use two and cut down around and on the length but they help ...they have them for uppers and lowers...good luck ...take care ...
Sorry to hear that! But if you look deep down you might find a blessing... you won't be able to overeat, as you can only eat so many mashed potatoes before you get sick...,
