Covid shot
Have had all three shots of Moderna and so far things are going great 👍🏼 Remember it’s also time for flu 🤒 shot 👍🏼🙏😉🐾🐾
Yes, I got my COVID shots and booster. I had COVID last November, but I am glad I am vaccinated.
YES; I've had all THREE Moderna shots (March, April & September). Science, science, science. . .Get the shots!!! 🙏😆😇🔮👍
YES I got mine last March my MS dr. said it was worth the risk to get the shot, my hubby went first as he was 81 then. When my age came up it took almost 2 weeks but I finally got it then in Aug. my pcp said to get the booster because of the MS. so I did. We only got sore arms at the shot site. Put an ice pack on the spot for 10 minutes or so it will help. Mary
I received all three of the Pfizer. I also received the flu shot the same time as receiving my booster. I only experienced a sore arm at the site of the injection and nothing else.
I received the Pfizer the 1st one 10/23 and 2nd one on 11/13. I was a lil nervous about receiving the vaccine and asked plenty of ppl on the forum their response. My Neurologist, PCP and my family was also supported with me making the decision to move forward. One day I felt peace to move forward and I scheduled the appt and have no regrets. I Only experienced slight tenderness to the arm. Will keep you in prayer in your decision making🙏🏾
I've had my vaccinations for COVID and 'flu and only mild reactions. The stress of moving will affect your MSability to cope with reactions, so choose a good time when other stresses are low.
You doctor said NOT to get it? That’s crazy! My doctor gave me, and all of her ms patients, a note so that we could all get our shots early. I have my third shot already and I feel great. Moderna three times with zero side effects each time. If you’re on ocrevus, you must time your shot so that it isn’t the month before, or immediately after, your infusion. Good luck! Get protected!
i had two shots of pfizer. second one laid me out. thought i had a stroke. reluctant to get the booster but i probably will.
I had the J&J vaccine a little over 4 months after an Ocrevus infusion. My neuro told me I didn't need to wait as he felt it was worth trying sooner to prevent getting COVID since there wasn't enough data at the time to say waiting made a big difference in immune response. I decided to wait anyway and then got the J&J as soon as it was available. I was really tired a few hours after getting it but that only lasted a day. My husband got it at the same time I did and had the same reaction.
I've had the 1st 2 plus the booster. We had breakthrough Covid and I was Much less sick than my husband! So very glad we'd gotten them!
I neglected to mention that the night after each shot I was a bit feverish. By morning I was a bit washed out but otherwise fine. I always got them on a Friday just in case I would react. That little bit of discomfort was worth it.
I had Pfizer. I can get booster now. My gpa and his wife both were vaccinated and caught covid. Gpa is in the hospital right now, his wife is home. No boosters for them yet but after this they will be getting them.
Pfizer #1 was late March. Arm soreness came on that evening and persisted a few days, but it didn’t slow me down. Pfizer dose #2 taken 3 weeks later in April. I had a little nausea and headache later that day. Arm soreness occurred the following day, but the headache and nausea was gone. Arm soreness was only for the day. Pfizer #3 taken November 7th. No arm soreness, nausea, or headache this time. Monday morning, the 8th, I awoke with a low grade fever that persisted for about 10 hours. I chose to not take any fever reducers and just let it be. The highest temperature I recorded was 99.6. Hope this helps. 🙂
I got the shot and only had a sore arm. My Nero recommended it. I got the Moderna. I haven't gotten the 3rd yet but I will soon.
I have a friend who got civic. He is now battling massive blood clots in his legs. They remove them and in a few days they are back again. So I recommend the shot. But that is just my opinion.
Got my second covid shot (Moderna) back in April, got a booster last week. My neurologist insisted I get the vaccine, possible neurological complications made it a must. Had the 24-hour reaction after 2nd shot and again after booster (prepared to lose my balance so kept all tools within reach), was scared before first vaccination, didn't trust anything, but was just fine, am way more leery now of people who refuse vaccinations and/or masks. Sometimes I don't even want to go out anymore because of them but my shrink says go out and get some fresh air.
