G’day my beloved ms family, I hope all are as well as can be expected. Last night was a good nights sleep, no gremlins only sweet restful dreams. If not, there is always tonight.
Let us talk about HOPE. These are some of my thoughts on the subject. HOPE, that I can control is a good thing. HOPE that is beyond my control maybe is not so good. Do “YOU” remember as a child hoping that “YOU” would get as a gift, that great something that “YOU” just had to have to make your life complete. How upset “YOU” were when “YOU” did not receive it. That ms cure is beyond your control, somebody else has to provide it, putting all your hopes in it may only lead to disappointment. When I was first diagnosed (Dx’d) long ago, I hoped for a tablet or a cure. I learned quickly that a cause was not even clear. I did not meet any of the reasons for having ms, back then, so the best I could hope for was a tablet. Luckily it was only 5 or so years away so I bared my bottom and suffered through many needles. I dislike needles, intensely. I did not stop and wait, I did what I had to do ,THEN, to keep me on my feet and as stable as I could, health-wise.
This is what “YOU” face now. Do “YOU” do nothing hoping for that miracle cure that will make “YOU” all better, OR, do “YOU” take your life in your hands and do what has to be done. To keep yourself as whole as “YOU” possibly can. The choice as always is yours. A rapid falling off the cliff or a slow, yet steady slip down the hill side. Rest assured, this is a chronic progressive illness. As much as I like to deny it, we are all going downhill, but choose to slow your descent. Do everything that “YOU” possibly can to make your downhill a steady walk not a PLUNGE.
This “YOU” can control, slightly. In this “YOU” can have hope, in a miracle cure, perhaps not so much. Put your hope where “YOU” can see success. Put it in your hands. As much as “YOU” possibly can, control your destiny. Make decisions that are in your interests.
Take YOUR life by the horns and live long and happily, YOUR way. Hope is good, but make it hope that “YOU” have a say in.

Be well and be happy.
