Family, as we all know, I am not any sort of doctor, nor do I play one on television. Be careful what "YOU" may see or read. Not everybody speaks with your best interest at heart. I do, BUT I most certainly can be WRONG. Do not take my words for the absolute, be-all, end-all truth and Facts. In the other vein, not everybody cares about "YOU". Get a second, third opinion. Treat your life as something that "YOU" care deeply about. Take your time, research your information. Be comfortable with your decisions.

ms will be a very long journey for "YOU", not a two-week aspirin regime. The rest of your very long life. Read that again and make your decisions based on that fact. There is no cure, only treatments some stronger and safer than others.

Good luck, choose well and I hope to meet "YOU" one day along our journey.

Royce

I agree totally to everything you said. I do have some medical training (EMT & some paramedic training) and when I talk or read a post online I act dumb just to see where they are talking about or trying to do. I tell people all the time that you can find any and everything online but to be careful because whatever you’re looking for you’ll find I.e. medical treatments, how to eat, and finding a cure, but there isn’t a cure. You read or see that changing how and what you eat will improve your symptoms and to just know that the medication you take isn’t a fix all. It’s a proven fact that if you eat better or don’t eat certain things (gluten, sugars, lactose to name a few) you feel much better but it’s not a cure. I tell other MSer who ask me what I do or take to talk to their doctor(s) and let that be a starting point of their research or information,. What work for me might not work for them. I also advise to be careful spending a lot of money for a miracle treatment (I.e. take this pill or wear this particular jewelry and you’ll start walking without any assistance). Do your unbiased research. There’re some excellent equipment or devices that are proven to assist or aid but they have been approved. Just to be careful because like you said “not everybody speaks with your best interest at heart”. Sorry for me being so long winded.

yes it is wise to get other opinions before trying something new ...always be safe and remember this MS is different for everyone so what may work for a friend , maybe won't work for you ...like what he has said in the past ask doctor anything you don't understand for we want it in my level of understanding( for i didn't go to school to be a doctor )so the doctor should always make sure you understand what you are talking about or just ask again till you understand or show you were to get the information to understand ....always watch out for your safety in your doctoring for this MS or anything else that concerns your health ....love and much happiness...
