Denial Vumerity
Sorry to hear you are going thru this. Hope your doctor can help get this resolved for you.
That’s not right and it must be so frustrating for you. I hope you get sorted soon, keep us posted, blessings Jimeka 😊
I hope you will try to appeal. I was denied coverage for Copaxone (one of the most inexpensive DMTs!). I called the insurance company myself. They insisted the only reason it was denied was because of "insufficient information" from my doctor. I asked that they clarify it with my doctor, and then it was covered. I sometimes think they will often deny coverage and hope we will just go away and accept their answer. It's at least worth a try to appeal.
I have reached out to my doctor via email and phone call awaiting for his answer praying all will work out soon in order to move forward. Thanks!
I have reached out to them and my doctor so much I think they know my number and name by heart😂Actually about to call again. Thanks!
Yes. It’s a lot to deal with. Have everything worked out for you? Thanks!
Yes-everything worked out. I’ll make a post about it.
Glad to hear. Things didn’t work out with the Tecfidera brand. I will be starting the Generic formula in April. At 1st a lil disappointed because I pay a great deal for my insurance with UHC. In the event I’m staying positive in regards to the changes. Knowing all will work well. Thanks for keeping me posted!
Some drug companies will cover a medication of insurance denies it.
I have checked with them and waiting on a response. I have UHC insurance that I pay under Cobra that’s a lot for me mthly. Praying all will be solve soon. Thanks!
I have and I’ll tell you what worked For me every time. Full disclosure, I do not have MS. My wife does. If you are sure it was submitted correctly and was denied go online and politely file a complaint with the insurance commissioner of your state. It is very easy to do. The insurance companies monitors these complaints in real time and takes very seriously all correspondence to that office. I never had to wait more then three days for a favorable outcome. Good luck.
Ok. Thank you so much!
I've never been denied but have had bad reactions so have had to switch. In my first 6 months I was on 3 different meds! But the third was the one. So don't give up hope!
