MRI Results

I got my MRI results back. There were no remarkable changes from the last one I had a year ago. There was normal atrophy for my age group. Normal atrophy... That sounds terrible! My brain is shrinking! I know... it happens to everyone as we age. Wrinkles happen too & that really bugs me... I just don't want to get old! I'm not even close to being done with life yet but my age at 65 is telling me that there aren't all that many years left. There are a lot of things I would like to do before I leave this world, unfortunately, I won't be able to do a lot of them for various reasons, but that's ok. I guess in the long run it will all be ok whether or not I get to do the things on my bucket list, as I believe that I'm on this earth for other reasons than to fulfill my list, it's to fulfill God's list for me. I have found that as long as I keep my eyes on the Lord instead of the mirror looking at my wrinkles, I can deal with this getting older thing much better!

I'm saying good riddance to 2020 and welcoming in 2021 with the hope that it will be a better year for everyone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Glad to hear you have had no changes with your MRI. Our bucket lists don't have to be huge monumental events but maybe the smaller intimate moments that bring us personal joy and joy to others. 💮

(Also trying to give myself positive affirmations as I had many things I had wanted to do once I reached this age).

I think a lot of us, those with and without MS fall short of what we actually wanted to do with our lives. When I was a teen I wanted to set the world on fire. There were so many things that I felt needed changing in my part of the world. Well, life happened and I didn't set any fires or make any changes. I did lobby some in the CA state capital and was active in my community. That's more than a lot of people do. I'm still active in my community & my church. I still wish I could change the world. It would be nice if we could get people to be more tolerant of each other. The pendulum has swung to the other side now. It will eventually swing back again as it has many times in the past. So I do what I can and pray for the rest.
