Just got the results of an MRI of brain + spine done 2 days ago. Neuro says no new lesions, no active lesions. Yeah!
Ocrevus is doing its job for me even at 1/2 dose. Blood test was done 2 weeks ago & 2 months after 1/2 dose infusion and showed B-cells depleted.
Plan is to have another blood test in 2 months to see if 1/2 dose is enough to last 6 months.
Next item to track - the MRI also showed an enlarged thyroid so now I need to go back to PCP for follow-up on that.
Happy and Safe ThanksGiving to all! Hope you can all find a way to get your ms under control and live a happy and fulfilling life while dragging your ms along with you for the journey. It's a bad companion to have, but don't let it take over.

Good news for you! Im newly diagnosed with MS and awaiting insurance approval to start Ovrevus hopefully in late Dec. Starting it during this pandemic scares the heck out of me (on too of the weight of it all) and hope I don't have terrible side effects.
Hi Krista78 - I was also very scared after diagnosis and before being able to start treatment. The time seemed to go so slow. Waiting for the first Ocrevus infusion also required a lot of patience. Then you have to wait weeks if not months to know whether it works for you. There is too much time at hand and too many questions. Will my body tolerate the treatment? Will it work? Did I make the right choice of medicine? and more. You can ask any question to this forum, don't hesitate. We have all been there and many other places.
I have faith that you'll find the best treatment that works for you. Ocrevus did wonder for me. 6 months after the first round, my MRI showed no new lesion, no active lesion. I can only wish you that you will get similar results. Good luck, stay patient and keep strong.
Thank you for your reply and encouragement🙏🏻 The nerve pain in my head and left side and other significant symptoms have kept me out of work since September, most days in significant pain and fatigue. It is so hard to have any hope this wont be my every day. It is frightening and disheartening. Thank you for your insight and sharing your story.
I can't say things are perfect under treatment but I feel so much better than prior to diagnosis. For me, this is a big win after dragging myself from day to day for 10 years.
Fatigue has receded and no longer dominates my life. Random pains are gone. I can function, work and live, even I have to put taking care of myself as a top priority (not doing too much, getting enough sleep, watching what I eat,....).
Going for my second full dose this week. I was diagnosed 2 summers ago. Started ocrevus half doses sept 2019. I too was very afraid of side effects and all was fine thank god hope it continues. Really helped my fatigue! You will do great, blessings
