Good morning my beloved ms family. I do not know what is going on, but another night waking at 0230 (2.30 am) and not going back to sleep. I bet it is all the stress of the world and a lack of silly movies. We did watch “something about Mary” again but that did not do it. I WILL work it out eventually. Maybe it is my sore back from trying to be a 20-year-old at the gym. I know better, but what is life without some pain every now and again. At least I am still alive, it hurts.
Certainly one of the things that we all can be very grateful for is that we are here. We found this forum. In here we have found a loving family that we can belong to. We are not alone. We DO NOT have to be scared. There are mighty slopes to climb with this illness, but we do not have to fall down a long slippery slope of despair. If we reach out there is a hand waiting for us to grab on to. There is somebody who will reach for us and help us stop. I encountered this over the weekend. I was starting to slide and several people (ms Siblings) reached out and gave me that little bit of solace that I needed. THANK YOU FOR THAT. A subtle reminder that we are not alone. We are never alone. All “YOU” have to do is say that “YOU” are hurting, ask and ye shall receive. To others, ms may be a lonely disease, but it does not have to be. Reach out, there are 6000+ of us, somebody may be able to help. Give “YOU” a pick me up, point “YOU” in the right direction. This illness does not have to be travelled alone, always. There are other people on this journey. They may not be on exactly the same path as “YOU”, but when “YOU” need it and ask, somebody may be there and able to take your hand for a little while.
One day “YOU” may be able to return the favour to somebody else. It goes on and on. We are there for each other. We are an ms family, even if wee never meet face-to-ace. “YOU” are NOT alone. There are others out there who can and will provide knowledge and support when we can. As much as “they” like to say nd tell “YOU. “YOU” are not all e, “YOU” will never be alone because we are an ms family, and my sibling. “YOU” are a member of this family, forever end ever until the day when “YOU” are planted six feet down.
I am glad to call “YOU” my family and I hope “YOU” feel the same way.
Royce (your ms writer and Brother)
