Flumadine or Rimantadine?

Is anyone on Flumadine (generic is Rimantadine) for balance control/issues -- or any other reason, for that matter? If so, I'd like to hear your experiences. I've been on it for decades and wonder if it's really needed any longer. I'd hate to stop its use and begin falling again.

Hi DJM0183 welcome!! So I have never heard of that before, and me being me, looked it up. 🤣

Do not stop taking this without talking to your Dr!!!!! Seriously! ☺️

I would hate for you to start falling again also! 🤗💕👻

I wouldn't stop taking the Flumadine/Rimantadine w/o doctor approval, but it was @ 4 neurologists ago that I began taking it. And every subsequent neurologist has kept me on it "just because" the previous doctor had prescribed it. But I was wondering if there are others with MS who take it and, if so, for the same reason? Another benefit of this med, however, is that it precludes me from getting flu shots every year!
