Since covid has Alot of us limited, and combined with our MS, Help from others is a good thing. So...

How are YOU asking for help?

Do you have trouble asking?

Or do you just come right out and ask?

What do you have to have help with most?

My husband helps a lot.

I have no problem asking and he understands the "why" of my asking.

It's also good that he is strong like bull so he helps with heavy lifting-that's what I need most, I'd say.

I'm lucky to have him, that's for sure :)

I'm just beginning to ask, my older brother has been the BEST. I've yelled at him and he keeps coming back.. I am doing my best to realize my limitations and to increase my patience. Thank goodness for big brothers!

I'm so glad you're brother is being so understanding Juliew19673 it's hard learning limitations, let alone explaining them to someone else. And yelling at brother's is normal 🀣😁 πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŽƒ

Like falalalala my hubs helps me in so many ways. I am always feeling guilty that I don't do as much used to do, and I try to do as much as I am able...

I am so lucky to have him as well! :-D

Seeing as how I can hardly do diddle squat for myself, I usually don’t even have to ask for help. My husband is a trooper. He fixes the meals, cuts up the food, does the laundry, takes out the garbage, does the shopping, gets me into the shower, drives, etc. I count my blessings every day.

Peeling potatoes πŸ₯” it’s impossible to peel potatoes πŸ₯” one handed. So if my hubby wants mash he has to peel them πŸ˜‚

Have you tried those instant mashed potatoes where you just add hot water, and voila, jimeka They are awful but your hubs might like them :-D

He is a farmer. I can’t give him instant mash πŸ˜‚

Who am I kidding, I love my spuds! My mother in law tried to sell me on them saying that you couldn't tell the difference, that they were just like the real thing! Ummm, no, they are not! Not even close! :-D

I don't peel my potatoes anymore. I wash them real good and cut them up in smaller pieces and cook & mash them. You can hardly tell there are skins in there and they are better for you since the skins are full of the vitamins and minerals.

That is cute, I can picture a big, hearty farmer hungry for potatoes peeling away. Great visual! 😜

I’m blessed in all things pretty much all the time but especially since my surgery and not being able to walk yet. My wife and daughter do everything for me.

Occupational therapist comes once a week to help me shower.

I am truly blessed all the time that my wife does pretty much everything even when I can walk.

When I can walk again I will be more than happy to help her because I sure owe her plenty. She needs a hernia operation and needs knee probably replacement. But I’ve been trying to get them done but she wouldn’t go now we are raising a 15 month old and a 11 year old so she’s got an excuse. But she’s gonna have to get both soon as possible or she’s getting to be in the shape I’m in and not walking.

So far I can do most things except get some lids off of jars & my hubby will do that when I ask. I also have trouble lifting my big cast iron skillet & he will also help with that if I ask. I'm learning to ask for help. It has been hard since I have always been the "helper" rather than the "helpee".

Those skillets are heavy! I won't use mine anymore.🀣 So I don't blame you for asking for help! I got this fomey like shelf liner from the dollar store, I didn't like it as a shelf liner. But it makes a great jar opener! πŸ˜πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ‘»

I have the jar opener pads but I just don't have any strength left. Especially after I broke my arm last year.

Living in this apartment building has been good for me. There are no steps. I have invested in some helpful gadgets to make life easier. I try to buy only cans that β€œpop” open. I hate living alone. But folks here look out for each other. I ask for help when I need it, and give help as often as I can. Great post.
