...please pray for all those who are in the path of a wildfire near here. The city of Ashland, Oregon is being evacuated right now. My son lives in a little town that abuts that town, and I'm not sure if that town is also being evacuated. I'm not terribly far from there and am making preparations to go if I need to. Winds and very dry conditions are making it difficult to get the fire under control.

Everyone in the path of all those fires on the West coast has my prayers that you will be able to stay safe; and be ablet to evacuate safely if you need to.
I will be thinking of you. Sending prayers and lots of hugs ♥️
Thank you all. My son tried to get to his place, but wasn’t allowed in. His car and all his and his girlfriend’s belongings are there. At least they can come here.

Stay Safe
Thank you all. We are keeping an eye on things. We are hearing there are several fires in the area and not enough equipment to go around. I’m ready to move to Illinois and just worry about tornadoes.
You’re welcome to come to MA where you need to be prepared for the cold winters, and moi!
I’d take those cold winters to spend time with you!
I’m starting to miss tornadoes in Illinois.
How are you today, greaterexp ?
We are still here! Dense smoke everywhere, fires still out of control and spreading. We think my son’s apartment was spared, but fires keep popping up everywhere. His town is closed off. We have no word on my sister’s house. And we’re out of eggs. Sorry-needed some comic relief.
Glad to hear that you are okay. Have you heard from your sister? She is okay? House can be rebuilt. About the eggs ~ I can certainly send you a few ~ might be scrambled...
My sister and her family evacuated a couple of days ago and are still staying with us. I’m so relieved they came when they did. We hope they can find out if their house is still standing. The fire was only one street away yesterday afternoon. It’s hard to get any information right now. At least we are all together and all right. We thank God for that!
And thanks for the eggs.!
You have my prayers regardless of James's recovery. Our hopes and prayers are with you and your family. My co-workers in CA managed to save their homes by 1/2 mile. I wish all of you luck!
Prayers for you & family. I'm in southern California & it looks like the entire state is on fire. Nothing in my area, just some ash & smoke in the air. Praying for all...🙏🙏🙏
I left a message saying prayers for u and family but it got list somewhere 🙏🙏🙏
I got it. It was a new post. Thank you!
Praying for all those that are in the path of all those wild fires on the west coast.
My sister and her family are in their way here. They, too, were evacuated from a different town.
so sorry for the people in line of these western fires, what trauma.i guess there are no fires on the east coast because of all the rain and snow.the fire fighters are so brave God love them!praying you are all safe and remember" God never gives you more than you can handle".please be safe safe safe.
You and all your family are in my thoughts. I lived for many years on the urban-wildland interface in Los Angeles County, so understand the dangers, the stresses, the fears...as well as the toll that ash and smoke take on our lungs (especially in this pandemic).
I’m glad I saved a few N-95 masks from the fires during the past couple of years. Thank you for your encouragement.
Even with windows closed and the AC on (pre rolling blackout days), smoke gets into the house and ash deposits on window sills, table tops, counters, etc...so you are wise to wear a mask. On the worst of the days, I used to lay damp towels on the windowsills and breathe through a damp bandana (ore Covid mask days) tied around my face. The closer you are, of course, the worse it is, but even when a wildfire is many miles away, it is harmful. If a smoke plume can be seen from space...at earth level it can be invasive. Do stay safe.
Can't imagine what having to go through the fear of a wildfire possibility, more less actually having to act because of one would be like. Talk about a stressor. And you know, you need to lower your stress with M.S. I still wonder if my "Ohare Airport Air Traffic Controller Like Job", at least that's how each of the many required training classes for asbestos abatement seamed to open, implying that that this type job is very stressful, and if you can't handle it, don't do it. I agreed 100% being the owner of one such company for many years, and the stories I could tell, though never actually ever incurring any of the feared nightmares of that type work. But wild fires seem to be there every year. I know it's gorgeous out west, but the constant threat of wildfires? So I was going to suggest Utah, then,,,, Even Florida which is essentially a swamp, they all get wildfires too. Google any state, wildfires, and 2020 wildfires for that state will show up! I know of a nice little island in the Northwoods you might be safe from wildfires? Or how about the Alaskan tundra? Not many wildfires here in Dorthy's Great Lakes are either. Tornado's put them out quickly!
Good Luck, Stay Safe. From Fires and the Coronavirus.
Thank you. It’s beautiful here, but it took me many years to get used to the dry, brown summers. I was used to plenty of rain and green fields of the Midwest. There has been a “let it burn” policy for a few years here, which makes no sense to me.
Sending you prayers and hugs and positive thoughts for you, your family, the brave firefighters and everyone in the path of these horrible fires!!
Down here in Ca., I had to evacuate in our little travel trailer to our church parking lot for 2 days. I praise God for saving our house.
May the Lord watch over the city of Ashland. In the name of Jesus amen.
Thank you so much! It’s been a mess here with so many fires in and near so many towns. With the mountains, there aren’t many alternate routes to take when one road is shut down. We didn’t know how we were going to get out last night because so many roads all around us were closed.
So glad your house was saved!
My prayers are with the ppl of Oregon.
PRAYING AND LOVE FOR ALL
🙏🙏🙏
We understand your fears, so thank you for sharing that with us. We will be praying! I have relatives in Oregon also.
prayers to keep all in this path of the fires ...very scary ...i hate the fires we have has them up here several times some very very close like ending two houses down and we were not home that time came home saying we couldn't go down our road closed due to a fire...very scary ...our son tried to call us but we were at a park with no service for the cell phone so we never got any info on the fire until we were almost home...home you son found a good safe place to wait out his fire...so many are loosing everything ...prayers for all ...
It has been difficult with little communication, power gone, roads closed, dense smoke, and knowing that so many homes and businesses are gone. At least my son was able to get here, and my sister and her family were able to get here. We are constantly on alert. It’s tough to find updated information. Our house burned to the ground when I was six, so this feels really eerie.
oh my so glad all of the family is together just hate the reason for it ...are all of them homes burning ..sure hope not ..just for their safety to be safe and to be able to go back to all of it...this is so scary ...take care all be safe ....love and try to have some happiness with this visit of all of the family together ...play games laugh and have some fun ....
Prayers for first responders and all in the path of fires. Photos are horrid.hurricanes not good on gulf coast but come and go. The fires depend on human intervention and seems like always burning.
Prayers for you & family and all in area.
I have been praying. The news shows terrible things and I feel so badly about what people are going through.
praying for all of your safety and that this wildfire will be stopped
I saw some orange & yellow glow pics from Northern CA-fairly close to Oregon. Looks pretty in a photo but can’t imagine looking out the window knowing it is from raging wildfires that are so close 😳
Remain safe!
So sad. Between the pandemic, the amount of unemployed people sky high and more expected to lose their jobs, and the protests/riots getting more violent and now these wildfires, the US is going through some very trying times right now. I definitely will pray.
I see photos of San Francisco where the sky is blood red and it made me think of the Book of Revelations and all these things that they would say would happen. It is too sad beyond belief.
I hope you and your loved ones are safe. Yes, you have my prayers.
