i agree with HensTooth. I go for the money, I can't stand odd numbers. If I went over the 40.00 I would round up to 40.25. 40.10 & 40.20 would still bug me.

Interesting hairbrain4 ! Because 25 is in fact an odd number, but somehow, the concept that it’s a “quarter” of something is a “rounded” enough idea to satisfy me, too!

You should see me pushing the limits of my gas tank (and public decency) when I hit $something.01 at the pump!
