These are about 3" wide. I bought several so that I may adorn all my hats with one. So no matter which hat I am wearing when I go through the gate where the deerflies dwell, perhaps I will be protected. I'll let you know!

Hey! You got some!
I hope it works for you.
Me too! One less itchy insect bite is all good. On my sweet place, I contend with wasps, hornets, chiggers, several kinds of ticks, mosquitoes, and gnats, so one less itchy insect bite is all good. Because I have an increasingly severe allergic response to wasp and hornet venom, I have epi pens for their attacks, but so far haven't had to use them. This year I have wasp/hornet traps everywhere hoping to snag them before I am stung again. One old woman against the insect world is probably a losing battle, but I am determined to at least hold my own!
You are prepared and that is good!
Ticks freak me out.I had one on my leg and didn't notice it until I was in the shower. It crawled up my pant leg. When I tried to wipe it away,it did not move.
Thankfully,it didn't grow to a large size or I would have lost my mind.
Leeches are gross too.🤣
I don't like leeches, but I've only encountered them in Minnesota and Wyoming. Perhaps the water around here is too warm for them. I keep Gorilla tape in my bath room for the tiny little seed ticks. I can often see them crawling, but they are too small to grab but a small piece of Gorilla tape snatches them up and they can't escape. It also keeps me from trying to remove a freckle. When I've been in the woods, I just run a piece of this tape up my legs to see if I can snag ticks before they start climbing up.
We have deer ticks that wait in the grass to crawl up you, they carry lyme disease , I have really got to watch Razor when he has been out for a run.
We got them here as well.Henry's on meds for that. The cats are indoors but they still get a check.
My sister in law's dog has Lyme.
Not nice 🐣
falalalala Both of my current dogs have tested positive for Erlichia, and both are able to get the Lyme vaccine. Because Lyme symptoms are similar to MS, when I was diagnosed in Virginia, I was tested for all the tick borne diseases most prevalent here (Lyme, Erlichia, Babbiosis...and pardon the spelling). My son, in NC, thought he had the 'flu, but he had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, yet another of these nasty tick borne ailments.
goatgal Where did you find those beautiful dragonflies?
Love the dragon flies
