Missed You All

It was so lovely getting away for a few days to the beautiful, rugged Oregon coast. Hubby very deftly rolled me about in the new wheelchair after I paid dearly for overdoing the walking the first evening we were there. He would have me navigate as we wheeled through a few little towns. We laughed that he "pushed me around," and I "told him where to go." The lightweight wheelchair was a godsend and allowed to see much more than we could have otherwise. I missed you all, however!

Beautiful coastline shot, so peaceful, pleased you had a good time and it must feel good not to have missed anything. The wheel chair was a big blessing. 🤗

Glad you and your husband had a great time

It’s great you had your chair so you didn’t have a problem walking

It also seems more dignified than having hubby throw me over his shoulder.

My darling husband bought me an antique log cabin quilt that was obviously all hand sewn and quilted. The maker must have used a heavy wool blanket for the batting, for it weighs a ton. I'd date it from the late 1800's or early 1900's from the fabrics.

Sounds like a nice day.

Glad to hear you had a great time! Sounds like you “recharged” your battery and you’re ready to take on the day.

Beautiful get-away! I love that you and your husband had a great sense of humor about navigating the wheelchair.

He was really careful and was much more cognizant of bumpy surfaces, changes in the height of the pavement, and obstacles than I thought he'd be. After all, he's new to this. It again made me very grateful for easy wheelchair access and aware of the lack of it at times.

I bet your husband enjoyed not throwing you over his shoulder.

Glad you were able to get out to the coast. It's been 30 years or more since I had been up that way but it was beautiful then too. Glad you able to see things from an upright position. Hanging upside down over your husbands shoulder would give you a limited view, I would think.

Ha! He probably wouldn't enjoy me vomiting down his back either!
