Well, shoot. It’s a holiday weekend and people are out and about even though we are still mostly locked down.

We are on the coast, where everyone wants to go but all the beaches are closed. They still try to get in and are turned away. It’s warm here and hot inland, so it’s hard to blame people except for the risk, and annoyance to the first responders.

So far the rescue helicopter has been called twice. Once for a motorcycle crash and once for a young person who fell out of a car.

We are an hour and a half drive time from medical facilities one way so the helicopter can be crucial.

I do wish our societies could be smarter and not so self centered. But, this is where we are today.

Good post. Cannot imagine going to the beach right now. And I just love the ocean.
