I have issues with walking distances and standing for any length of time.
What are some good brands of shoes to look at. I am looking for sport type tennis shoes.

Brooks are ones my podiatrist thought were really good.
Scetchers sorry if I have spelt it wrong. They are sporty, your feet can breathe in them, air cushioned soles, supportive and they have really helped my foot drop. 😊
I have heard that Sketchers, like jimeka mentioned in her reply, are a very good brand to try, and they come in a multitude of colors. They will be the ones that I will get once my Easy Spirits need replacing...
have you tried skechers?
they range from work all the way to workout.
they have memory foam and they are extremely comfortable.
that is the only shoe I buy now
I have found them at kohls, ross and marshalls for cheap or you can go to their stores
I really like Newbalance walking shoes. They have a really cushy sole that helps keep my feet happy, plus they have wide widths that help, too!
If you can manage a shoe store like Fleet Feet they are good at fitting your feet to a shoe, using some sort of computer imaging.
They said just pick the one that feels the best.
They have been good for me.
Fleetfeet in Montclair ??
I don’t know.
They are scattered around the US. I am in California and they are here also.
I like new balance and sketchers. Get your feet tested for arch support needed and to id any tendency for foot probation that might be adding to your fatigue. Some shoe specialty stores can do that for you.
New balance are great.
Honestly, it's not the shoes. My favorites, are $10 Walmart generic paper thin sole gym shoes. I use very heavy 20 year old Coleman Kmart shoes (yes all the Kmarts in our area have closed down over a decade ago), but IF I want to trek the woods too..... No really, I've been doing the $10 Walmarts, only in white, and only in your size when they have them, so you have to check often and stock up to keep a few on hand. They will not stand up to washing. Tried many times. Wear and when the soles wear through or they get too dirty, toss them. Don't worry, you won't really lose much sole if they get dirty earlier!
BUT, they will put your feet in direct contact with the concrete of the neighborhood, or gravel trail. You will "feel the terrain"!!!
And LIGHT WEIGHT! !!! Nothing weighs less. Okay, skip the shoes, use socks? Nah, the socks don't last even a walk. Go with the shoes.
Honestly, the shoes don't matter much. I used a cane for the first couple years coming from where you are, not for balance, ...okay, that too...., but to help propel me forward with each step. My shoulder would give out before the rest of me, for years. Mind over..... As I built up strength, I didn't need a cane to get me moving. Just the balance thing. The propelling myself thing via cane, a couple years. The balance....add another 3.5+ years.
Even in COVID-19 days, I do a socially distanced 10K+ steps a day. Except when it rains from morning to night, with the malls closed,.... well I fail with several hundreds, not thousands. My house is not that big? I could build a weatherproof outdoor fire pit, in the middle of a forest in the north woods, where 15' tall fires blazed from my fire pit, under tarp when raining all day. Tarps hung from pre-strung ropes high in the tree tops, tied off below at perfect reach level, cleated to the trees. 5 quick clicks of the ropes, the 5th to provide a drain edge, and a 20'x20' was aloft in a minute! I did that,.... now I need to work on walking in the rain? Yeah, rain coats are sooo hot, even when it's only 40°F out and raining, wind blowing. What do I do? What do I do?
Oh I almost forgot. If you have "stubs" for feet feeling wise, you need paper thin soles for any chance of standing upright? Our family podiatrist is dead, but I'm still walking! Yes, my wife has Sketchers, New Balance... I....stick to my 10 buck chucks!
I love Skechers.
I have been using asics and sketchers. I’ve heard brooks is the best one can buy
sketchers, the go walk style, lots of styles and colors,i only buythe "go walk"
Sketchers! I have to have a very flexible, thin sole so that I can feel the floor, ground or whatever. Rubbery, no slip, not leather, or I would fall all over the place! Linda
I like adidas boost and so does my husband. I just got the newest ones and they are great! He has long days of standing at work, and my feet start to kill now after mile 5 (use to never go away). We both wear sock wells compression socks. I use to wear Thorlo socks also, very nice and very pricey. I have Spenco shoes, sandals, and insoles after they were recommended by a podiatrist.
GL!
I like Rockports.
Hoka One One Speedgoat. Works great for my plantar fasciitis. Recommended bu my Doc and they work.
I was very skeptical when the Doc recommended these but whey work as advertised. These shoes are very different than the standard "sneakers". Doc said if these shoes don't work, he would give me a referral to a podiatrist. He also added this is what the local podiatrist recommends as a first step. Find them here:

Ok a little pricy, but they work for my ancient feet. Hope this helps.
I like New Balance
I like Clark’s cloudsteppers. But I also have inserts from the Good Feet store. I have some New Balance too. I think I’ll try Skechers next after all the comments here. 😊
