I had my first virtual Dr appt this week with my neuro. It was really nice. I didn't have to drive 2 hours to get there or wait in the waiting room. The whole experience took about 20 minutes. Done. No 2-hour drive back home. The only thing I couldn't do was draw blood. But I can run down the street to my PCP's office and get that done. All in all I really liked it! I wouldn't mind having all my appointments like that.
Virtual Dr. Appt.: I had my first virtual... - My MSAA Community
Virtual Dr. Appt.
Glad to hear that it went great. Was it just telephone or was it a video chat with the neurologist?
Great to hear! Sounds great that you did not have the commute
I wonder how many places will continue appointments this way from now on? Did my registration and plate transfer online and that was great. Happy things went well and no drive time and extra expenses ๐๐๐๐ Ken ๐พ๐พ
I know I had 2 dr appt like that.
that was great i am also wandering if this will be what the doctors will keep doing for the just to see if all is okay and to reorder meds....
Sounds good to me. I had an appointment over the phone a couple weeks ago. It was fabulous!
My pain clinic has been doing it for me every other month since last fall. They can send in my percocet RX electronically.
๐ Good!
I had my first telephone appointment yesterday, it went well. Only difference was the visual and physical exercise routines I'm put through.
Glad your appt went well! I don't have an appt with my neuro until June, so depending on how things are going on that time, I may have to do a virutal appt as well. As others have said, I wonder if appts will continue this way until the virus is over? Time will tell.
I will have a virtual DR 's appointment on Monday. Actually, it more like a phone thing. I had to interrupt my 2nd ocrevus infusion in March. I was on copaxone for 20 years or so. more or less . I am in a-stay at home ny/usa limbo mode, suspended in a time capsule! OMG OMFG OMG! Did I mention OMG?
So sorry you are stuck in your house. We can at least get out. Nothing is open except Walmart, but it's at least out of the house. Are you going to have to start over? I was on Copaxone for over 10 years & glad to get rid of it. I got to where I dreaded those injections every day & then went to 3x a week but those really stung since there was more medicine in them.
I wont go back to copaxone, my md said it weaken the immune system. She talked about avonex..to be continued, i will talk to her on Monday.
I agree, I had a hospital appointment via telephone.
Saved time, money, effort, and itโs better for the environment. ๐
