I'm not gonna lie, this stuff scares me! It's everywhere you look, in everything you hear. I haven't been to the store in 3weeks, because well, it just freaks me out!
What about you? Are worried, scared?
Have you gone to taken extra precautions at home?
Or are you just going with the flow here?

Thankfully I have a hubby who goes to store once a week at 7 am. I am self isolating. I made homemade antibacterial gel cause stores were out and he keeps in car and cleans himself before coming in house. Yes, not scared, but very cautious. Using the serenity prayer. Grant me serenity to accept what I cannot change, courage to change what I can, wisdom to know the difference. So I use wisdom to stay home, courage to insist hubby stay clean and serenity to stay in Gods hands. God keep us all sheltered in His Arms while we do our part.
I'm not afraid. We have taken precautions. We have hand sanitizer wipes in the vehicles. I lysol the grocer bags before they go in the trunk. When I get them home the bags are set on the floor and as I take out each item I wipe it off with a sanitizer wipe before I put it away. Anything that comes from Amazon that is shipped I open the box outside take the stuff in & wipe with sanitizer wipe. I leave the boxes outside because they are porous & harder to sanitize. We live in a small town in Arkansas & haven't been hit too hard with only 5 cases in our county. This is a retirement town so most people are staying in. We also wear masks when we have to go out then wash the mask as soon as we get home. I also pray every day for all the people in the medical field, first responders, ambulance, police, people working in grocery, food, and pharmacies and for wisdom for us & our family & friends to stay safe. Everyone here is included in those prayers. Stay safe everyone!
we are very cautious, we also do the above and take our temperture before we leave the house and then daily.but is on tv 24/7 it will drive you crazy if you let it.
There is really no need to be afraid & have an anxiety attack if you follow all of the sanitizing procedures & now they say wear a mask, just be careful when you take the mask off, use gloves or sanitizer afterward & put the mask in a plastic bag until you get it washed. I have been doing this for several years now and I have not gotten sick at all, not even a cold. It pays off in the long run.
I have been inside, self isolating since March 11th. My hubs is the one that does all the outside stuff, and yes, we wipe down EVERYTHING before it comes into the house. And yes, hand sanitizers are the norm around my house right now. Just trying to be careful and not watch the tv too much because that just adds to my stress and anxiety. Stay Safe, Jesmcd2
Half the time the news is hype anyway. If you look at how many people have had the virus including those that didn't know they had it, then see how many have died, the percentage isn't as bad as it sounds on the news. The swine flu percentage was higher than this one.
Until we know for certainty, how this virus behaves, and that we have some defenses with a vaccine, then I am afraid that the news will be like it is. But I am trying to limit my exposure to this news to reduce my anxiety and stress.
We are trying to maintain our βnormalβ as much as we can. As neither one of us cooks, we have always eaten our noon meal out. We continue to go to the same places, but use their curbside delivery. We wear gloves and a mask when picking up the food. Other than not going to restaurants and church and therefore not interacting with others, our routine has not change much. Except for the fact that Iβm not picking the granddaughter up from school twice a week and keeping her while her folks work. Her parents are both teachers, so sheβs with them all day every day now and I miss seeing them. Keep the faith, Jesmcd2 , Blessings, Sansy
I am not mega worried. I guess worrying would raise my stress level which would make me feel badly. When I start to worry I cut back on news and social media. I don't wear masks or gloves. When I go to the store I do now wipe off the handle and stay away from people. Worry won't change anything.
