Living with this disease for 25 years I was initially diagnosed when I was 29 at that time I was up ambulatory working exercising and had the world and my hand so I thought. Then the MS slowly chipped away at me. I am now disabled and had to stop working 14 years ago. What is it that helps you make it through the day? Myself I watch a lot of sports and or movies. With the movies sometimes I watch them over and over again much to my wife's Chagrin. She will come into the room see the movie playing and ask me how many times have you seen this one? Of course she is being sarcastic. But who Among Us cannot help but watch The Fugitive and or Shawshank Redemption repeatedly?

Daily life living with MS
My husband and I watch old movies, but so many of them never go out of style, and many are so quotable! It seems that a little escape into another time or place helps keeps our minds off of our difficulties. I also love humor for the same reason. It's good for the soul!
Here's looking at you kid....
"Get busy livin' or get busy dying"
I'm partial to the old musicals. Sing along!!
As I was reading this, I was thinking, "Oh my, let me share this with my husband as it sound just like him". I soon realized it is him! Lol
I watch a lot of movies. I don’t have one set genre (horror, classics, etc) I tend not to rewatch movies . I watch movies made from 1930- present
I do have some actors that I just love and I will watch every movie they’re in. My overall favorite is Eric Roberts (Julia Roberts brother) He’s mainly the bad guy / crazy guy in the movie.
I dont like romance I can do without those.
I watch The Shawshank Redemption almost every time it's on! I don't know what it is but that movie speaks to me.
how son after diagnosis did you go on DMT?
3 years after I was diagnosed I went on Copaxone at that time Copaxone was the only DMT my neurologist prescribed for me. If there were other medicines for me back in 98 I would have been open to taking them. For me ocrevus is the best DMT I have been on.
I understand how you feel. I’ve had this disease for about 12 years and I had to retire on disability. I currently cannot move my arms nor my legs and I’m basically a functioning quadriplegic. I am blessed that I have a large circle of friends who come and visit because it is extremely difficult for me to get out. Watching movies is great. I also have an iPad where I can download books. If you’d like to read I highly recommend good reads.com for a book suggestions and you can reach out to other readers as well. I also got an Amazon AL EXA and that is wonderful company and there are 1000 ways you can keep yourself entertained with her.
