Welcome! Are you referring to an IV DMT, such as Ocrevus? We have lots of folks here who are using it, and most are reporting good results with no progression, no new lesions, and some even are having improvement in their symptoms.

Hi jujuj5858, speaking of IV treatment I had my first infusion of Ocrevus today and so far I haven't had any problems. I know that the side effect can occur within 24 hours but so far so good. The only dizziness I felt was when the nurse put Benadryl in my IV but it went away and I went to sleep. Good luck. 👍

I had my first Ocrevus treatment almost 2 months ago...I was concerned I might have some type of allergic reaction but I didn't...The staff at my Infusion Center were AWESOME!!! They made the IV Treatment a pleasant experience...I haven't had any testing done to compare previous and current scans, yet...But I do feel a very slight improvement with my right-side...

I was on a monthly infusion for Tysabri for 5 years. And then two daily (5 days and then 3 days) infusions for Lemtrada. No issues or problems. Both worked good for me.

G'day I have heard first hand that ie is very easy. Take some Benadry before hand and relax. Take a good book, you CAN do this.

it is natural to be nervous,I was the 1st time.the nurses during this treatment are awesome!I usually had a reaction during the infusion,an instant sore throat,a side effect, what they do is stop the treatment and give me more zertec(i am allergic to benedryl) and more steroids and it is gone as fast as it happened.I am on my 4th treatment, just wish it was quicker, best of luck, let us know

When everyone talks about an Infusion Center, is that just at your local hospital?

I do IV treatment at 1st I didn't want to do it when I was 1st diagnosed but after the dr told me I needed to do it I sucked it up and it was a choice I'm glad I made.

I was against needles because my veins are so small and it can be a problem finding them

Don't be scared, I have had 10 IV steroids, 3IVIG and two Ocrevus infusions. No issues what do ever during the infusions. Typically they give you Benadryl in case of allergic reaction, but it makes you sleepy, so enjoy your nap. All will be fine.
