I do not.

I take Nuvigil.

But if that stopped helping me, I would consider adderal or Ritalin. They are some of the options used off label for MS fatigue.

Look at the side effects and see if you’d be willing to give it a try. You can always start and stop if you did not like or it was not helping.

I did. My neuro prescribed it several years ago, and I tried it. No side effects, but I could not tell that it helped. I take Modafinil...generic Provigil, and it helps a LOT!

I was on all those mentioned. They did nothing. I was told the air force uses Provigil to keep their pilots alert on long and/or continuous flights. It didn't help me from falling asleep, almost, in Chicago's morning rush hour traffic every day. No worries, I was very proficient at driving the expressways in my sleep. I managed to keep one eye barely open to keep from hitting the car in front of me during all the stop and go.

I even did the over the counter caffeine pills at doses that should have shocked the dead back to life (not smart, desperate). Nothing, but a really upset stomach, washing it down with black coffee. Desperate times....

My daughter uses Ritalin. It drags her back from the dead. BUT, even she realizes it isn't good in many ways, and only uses it as a last resort. She knows more about medicine and drugs than most of her doctors,... really. The neuro-science doctorate almost except for her inability to live a life studying her rats behavior in detail, then drugging them with this or that, and then slicing their brains down to microns to see what the drugs did physically to affect their behavior. Yeah, now she teaches the finer points of quantum mechanics to professors at........nah, she teaches math. But could!!!

I found one that will give you the right amount of energy, to bring you back from that can't get up, my body just doesn't want to move, and it's early morning, and I slept like a rock? The coffee, had 3 cups, nothing. A energizing Sativa gummy.....and it gives me the slow but steady energy to conquer the world. At least cut the grass, the edging, the trimming, the blow off the concrete, and throw in fertilizing or weeding! Now that I did all that, it's time to make dinner!!! Just one 10mg gummy. Just can't drive on it. Law prohibits it. I'd never challenge it, but not sure why. I can trike all day on it. Haven't run into any trees or almost gone over any edges of the mountain like I did so many times on a single trip down the Virginia Creeper Trail on an adult tricycle, having had nothing other than coffee for days??? Okay, it was a balance/mind thing. Two wheels in front (trike), no balance necessary. Two wheels in back, (tricycle), without perfect balance, you're gonna die, unless you can turn your mind around and lean opposite from normal. Reaching the edge of the mountain...yeah, just lean over the edge? I hit the transport bus just trying it out in a parking lot on the tricycle!

Sativa gummy. My recommendation. But, I'm no doctor. Just a guy with decades of M.S. big time. And now doing great! (For someone who's been at the bottom with M.S.)

Year's ago, before it was here, my neuro told me to not give up hope, after exhausting all meds in his war chest. When it did, I was there opening day. It will be, soon. But not soon enough for you. Been there.

Yes, I took it to maintain alertness. I was on Dextromp - Amphetamin (Same as Evekeo) which was later changed to Adderall.

I started taking it about 5 years ago when my insurance stopped paying for Provigil. It definitely works. The one thing I don’t like about it is that it raises my body’s temperature and I get hot. So I don’t take it in the summer.

As you know, Pam, we are all different. I hope it works for you!

As our community family always shares; research first and maybe get a second opinion. Always do what feels best for you, also ask your doctor if any vitamins supplements could work in place of what he prescribed?
