Have any evrr gotten a random call from someone you don’t, asking about your health. I did the other day they asked me if I had pain in my legs and If my doctor knew about it I think they were trying to sell cream.
I told them I don’t talk to strangers on the phone about my medical issues.
Just wondering?

I’ve never had that one, but I no longer answer the phone if I don’t recognize the number. They’ll leave a message or call back if it’s legitimate. Be careful!
I just got another call trying to tell me that they had a great job for me to drive a car and deliver something stupid calls. I do put them on the do not call list.
Doesn't seem to work in SC either. I've had my number added to the don't call me register but I still get telemarketers calling trying to sell all kinds of BS. I block the numbers they call with.
Yes! I noticed when I was first DXED I would get random calls about a variety of things. I'm not sure who "sold" my info or if it was based on my various Internet searches. I responded to these calls the same as you did.
I am sure that I do. However, I never answer my phone if I do not recognize the person, or the number. I might have missed out on a few calls where I won a car, trip, the lottery, or whatever, but I really doubt it. There is big business of selling your info, whether legally or not, and I am so not trusting of these individuals.
So if anyone calls me, I tell them to leave a message and if I recognize them, I will pick up. Really simple! If you leave a message, I will talk, if you don't, well then, okay.
So, if the phone don't ring, it's probably me returning your call after you called but left no message.
My mother in law had someone call and tell her she needed to go out and adjust her tv dish as at there end it shows something wrong. She was going to go out and then called me and I said NO! She was watching the tv and it was fine? They are elderly and I think someone was trying to get into ther house 🏡. I told her to call police and report it. She did but they said they could not do anything, just be careful 😖. So be careful of phone calls from people you don’t know!!! 👍🙏🐾 Ken
Every couple of weeks some one calls & it's "hi this is (a name) I have a report that you or someone you loves has sever back, knee or neck pain" then they want to send a brace, cream or patch. TELLAMARKETERS!! Just hang up on them. My husband told me he heard that in 2019 they will be 45% more calls home & cell phones.
Telemarketers really don't have info on us as it is their job to talk to people all day & all people fall into certain categories. They know these categories & that helps them pull the wool over us. I don't like talking to them, I don't answer the phone when I don't know the number. If it's a real call they will leave a message & I can call them back if I need to.
I don't like the do not call list, because I believe that list is made available to businesses and that info gets sold and businesses who are not on the list call you. Plus the are reverse directories that solicitors can use to call you. A few years ago the fcc passed something, that now allows solicitors to call call phones. There used to be a law that unsolicited calls could not be made to cellphone since the calls were charges to the owner of that number. Anyway, many great suggestions were made above. I alway make a game of it by trying to keep the caller on the phone and showing an interest to buy [but never intending to buy]. The longer you keep them on the phone you are wasting their time and the get upset if they can make a fast sale. They never call back. If you sound like you have dementia, that works too.
