Yes, it was pretty big. Just I didn't think it was that big but looking at the pic I took, it was bigger than I thought.

That's a Preying Mantis. When I was a kid, we had a bush in the yard that would attract them like crazy.

They are good to have in your garden. They eat a lot of the bugs that eat your plants.

Haven't seen one since I took this pic in 2012 after moving to MI.
