Here’s another panel I quilted and embellished with thread. Both my friend and my husband urge me to buy panels, but I always have a hard time figuring out how to quilt them. This is a wall hanging. I may keep this one since it took many hours of quilting.
I’m not sure if quilting keeps me out of trouble, or if it gets me into it.

That is so gorgeous! 🌻🌿🍃🌼🌺 You are very good at that!
I have been looking for a new quilt with either flowers 🌺🌼🌻, insects 🦋🐝🐞🦋🐜🦟🕷and/or birds 🦆🦅🦜🦢🕊on it, and with a black or darkish green background. Sunflowers 🌻 and zinnias would be great because they are what I planted in my garden! Most quilts have a lighter background and I do not want that.
Beautiful...if you don’t mind sharing...what are panels? Where do you find them and what did you do piece quilt, it’s beautiful and lots of hardwork there! Keep for years to come! Great work!
A panel is a preprinted piece of fabric. So I did no piecing of small pieces to make this like I would for a traditional quilt. I merely quilted it, and did thread painting, which is taking different colored threads and quilting (sewing through the panel or front fabric, batting, and backing) to enhance what is already there.
Beautiful. I think quilting does both keep you out of trouble & gets you into trouble depending on if you calculated the correct amount of yardage & which step you are on.🤓
