I was diagnosed with RRMS in January 2014. I hope to make some new friends and learn more about MS, how to deal with it, and how to stay healthy.

Hi Purple20

MS is quite the journey to live with on a daily basis. We all HAVE to deal with it in our own way. Mine has been a rough one from the get go but I've been blessed and I'm surviving. I was diagnosed in 2009 in my 40s. I'm 56. Had 9 high doses of steriods because of a severe exacerbation. Was paralized with in a weeks time because of a lesion in my spinal cord. Anyways I'm back to walking never thought I would again. All I can say is the people on this forum have been a blessing for me and they REALLY care about you and have very good input in their opinions. Many different and open-minded voices can be read on this forum. God bless you ALL

I found out I have RRMS Jan. 22, 2018. I have talked to my granny about it but no one else, but after she passed away in Feb. I decided maybe I should start learning more about this disease instead of being surprised by what happens next. Together we will become stronger and smarter and take back our lives.

Welcome to the group Purple20 I was diagnosed in 2006 after the stress of trying to buy a house. Blurred vision was my first symptom and after an ophthalmologist couldn't find a reason I went for an MRI which showed signs of MS. That MRI got me started on the journey of testing and then an eventual dx of MS. I haven't been able to work since 2008 due to my constant dizziness and forgetfulness. Doing better each day. Look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome! You will find lots of different opinions here, but we discuss virtually everything related to MS, and we share lots of jokes and encouragement. MSAA has lots of great resources, too:

You will find a tremendous community in HealthUnlocked. I am glad you are here.

We all have stories, some funny and some tragic, all interesting and all responded to by people here. I have not read a snarky remark so this is a civilized place and very pleasant and welcoming. You will find suggestions for the problems you might experience and some may be similar enough you will be delighted to find solutions.
