I've been having people thinking I'm asleep when I'm completely awake. Yes, I'm not moving around or talking alot around the times this occurs. But my eyes are open and I'm watching what's going on around me. Just not totally sure what's going on. I've never experienced anything like this before. Even when I say I'm awake the response I get is unbelief and I'm not totally sure what to make of it.

This thing that you are describing would unnerve me. Are you sure that they are not trying to be silly? Perhaps ask them why they are behaving in this way.
They're sadly not being silly. I apparently look like I'm sleeping and when they ask if I'm awake I know exactly what is going on and answer them and if they'd ask what happened before they asked if I was asleep I could tell them.
Hello dailygrump40, there are times that happens to me. I zone out and my boyfriend would be talking to me and I'm looking ahead and not answering him. I'm clearly looking at tv but not realizing that he is speaking to me until he shakes me and asks me if I'm ok. I also have zoned out where people have walked into the room I'm in or my office and starts talking and all of a saddened I'm like where did you come from. Had no idea that they were even there, or for how long they were there. Kind of scares me because I was always one who was aware of my surroundings, sadly that is out the window.
My girlfriend tells me I do that. I've caught myself doing it. Personally I think at times we are so tired, warn out. Rundown that out bodies and brains just go into idle mode. I know when I catch myself zoning out. I'm pretty much comatos. SittINGon couch arm's laying on lap. Just totally spaced out. I'm to tired to finish writing this. I'm so c sorry
Tom
We all have moments when we zone out. It may be that your usual style is more vivacious and engaged with others, and they notice when you drift into yourself for a bit.
My mom did that. She was having mini strokes. Not saying you are, just relating my mom’s situation. Kelly
I'll send my nuero a message. I'm on an Intrathecal Baclofen pump which I go dor refill Thursday. Gotta talk to the Dr about a couple things with it.
